Introduction
There are fundamental gender differences in organizational management styles, values, leadership strategies and policy preferences, which constitute barriers to women’s ascendancy to the highest levels of leadership. These differences not only condition women’s leadership/managerial styles, but also shape the effectiveness of any such styles, which in turn reflect on their participation in public administration.
