Importance and Impacts of Mentoring
Abstract
In the present paper, the impact of mentoring on students and employees has been investigated. It has been hypothesized that mentoring positively impacts their overall well-being if provided considering the specific conditions of mentees. Development Mentoring is an approach to school-based mentoring in which high school students work with junior elementary school mentees. Rhodes (2002) stated that around 50 percent peer-mentoring meetings end within initial three months. However, there is a lack of research conducted on premature meetings termination and mentors' absenteeism.
