Known for his wit and wisdom, Benjamin Franklin worked to improve society whenever he could. There are many examples of this desire to do “good works”; however, three are most prominent. One, he established the lending library as we know it today. Two, using himself as a model, he developed virtues that have become ingrained in American society. Third, although he did not seem particularly religious himself, his philosophy about religion was less about dogma and more about service to community. Doing good works for others was something he did throughout his life; and it began during his childhood.

We Must Tell Our Own Story
Introduction
There exists in the world of sociology some controversy between two theories of thought. The debate is usually over a question like this “Which has more control over an individual’s life agency or structure?”
One side argues that people are confined behind the boundaries of social structures. How a person behaves within the structure is controlled by the boundaries or his perception of the boundaries. How a person acts depends on how the social structure (or hierarchy of social structures) “allows” him to act. There is free will only as it fits into the power structure of social systems. ...

Mental events as asserted in behaviorism are considered to be unscientific and embrace the use of practical experiment in the collection of data other than the use of mental processes. Behaviorism, as argued by the different scholars of psychology, is an approach that is employed in the study of both animal and human behavior and holds that the conduct can be measured. However, it is paramount to appreciate the fact that the behaviorist denies the use of human mind and hold that behavior is an essential tool that can be utilized in the psychological studies. However, it is important ...

Having been raised in a family that was spiritual, but not religious, I had no guidance to point me in the direction of the faith that would ultimately change my life for the better. It was not until I underwent crucial transformation and metamorphosis of mind ...
