In the 4th Century BC, Aristotle clearly stated that for a government to have an effective constitution, it must have in place three basic elements. These are a public assembly, various officers of the state and lastly a judicial department. One of the most famous quotes of John Adams is ‘power must never be trusted without a check’. This may be said to mean that in instances that an individual or an institution which is tasked with the authority to rule over a people should never be given the absolute authority to have the absolute authority. Institutions checking on ...

When Federalists and Anti-Federalists were debating about the new U.S. Constitution, one of the most controversial issues was the balance of power between the national and state governments. In order give more power to the national government, Federalists had to take into account Anti-Federalists’ views and introduce three branches of power that would be empowered to control each other. James Madison, one of America’s founding fathers, wrote in The Federalist Papers that “power is of an encroaching natureit ought to be effectually restrained from passing the limits assigned to it.” (Cited in The Federalist Papers Project 19). It ...
Federalism in the United States may be defined as relationship between state
governments and the federal government of the US with a progress shifting of power from the states towards the national government (Beck, 2011).
Federalism was a political answer and solution for the situation with the Articles of Confederation (the first US constitution replaced by the current US Constitution in 1788) that gave the federal government very little practical authority. The Articles contained the direction on the ways to direct the American Revolutionary War, conduct diplomatic relations with Europe and deal with different territorial issues and Native American relations. Although, this document also became the weakness of the government, which ...

The use of social media has mainstreamed the marketing platforms for most companies today. This practice has been so common due to the introduction of digital technologies that connect the entire world. Therefore, information dissemination and realization of connectivity is highly manifested on the social media platform than any other marketing precepts. On the other hand, there has been a massive transition from traditional marketing concepts, even as most companies embrace this new marketing portfolio (Wollan, Smith, & Zhou, 2010). Jingle Clothing Limited Company is not exempt to this massive migration since it needs to catch up with ...

Question 1 Response: Creating a new Constitution was vital to the unity of the United States of America since the Articles of Confederation weren’t sufficient for good government. If there was any evidence of this, it was that the United States was clearly bankrupt and now needed to be organized in such a manner that both the States and the Federal government had to share power in such a manner that everyone’s interests were kept in mind. A centralized approach was key to putting the country back on track. Hence, a meeting was held in the Pennsylvania ...
The presidential powers have considerably extended since the time when the Founding fathers framed the Constitution of the United States. At that time, the thirteen colonies that formed a newly established state were afraid of a strong executive leadership. They feared that if a president were entitled by the Constitution to have extended powers, he would have misused or abused these powers, governed by self-interests, rather than the interests of the nation. This skepticism toward strong leadership resulted from the experience that the founders had when dealing with the English monarch (The Declaration of Independence, 1776). In order to ...
The government has three branches, namely the executive, legislative and judiciary, each with distinct powers and authority. Each of these branches are independent from one another but the principle of check and balance allows each branch to intrude within the sphere of authority of another branch. The legislative branch of the government is mainly responsible for the allocation of budget and mainly framing governmental policies, laws and regulations. This is one of the authorities and powers that are mainly lodged within the legislative body of the government. While the law making power of the government is within the exclusive ...

Leonardo Pisa
Prior to the introduction of modern concepts for calculation, various mathematical operations would have required proficiency in the use of the abacus. However, in 1202, Leonardo da Pisa, an Italian math expert, released a book entitled “Liber Abaci,” or “Book for Calculation.” The book revolutionized the methods of calculating figures by establishing useful approaches in using the Arabic numbers 0 to 9 to the Western world. Though the book did not find immediate acceptance in the West, in the end it revolutionized the areas of commerce, finance, research, science and technology. Furthermore, da Pisa’s work laid the ...
Federal Court Structure vs State of Georgia Court Structure
The Constitution of the United States of America is the highest legal authority in the country. Due to federalism in practice, both federal and state governments have a court system of their own. The structure of federal and state courts is different as states have the power to decide the type of structure they want to implement. The structure of federal courts consists of three levels; these are District courts or Trial courts, Circuit Courts and Supreme Court. The Circuit courts work as the primary level of appeal and the Supreme Court is the final level. In total, there ...
1.0 Introduction
Citi Group (Citi) has taken a bad hit during the financial crisis in 2008, which it continues to shoulder today, almost a decade later. The appointment of current CEO Michael Corbat in 2012 pushed the company back to the path of better reduction of non-profitability, which finally broke through in 2015 when Citi finally made positive profits beyond its 2015 breakeven target. The succeeding sections explored this journey of challenges and promises as clearly as possible.

A. An anticholinergic is a drug used in the treatment of diseases such as asthma, muscular spasms, insomnia and gastrointestinal cramps (Healthline, 2016). The drug is also used with anesthetics as it inhibits the action of parasympathetic nerve impulses by preventing acetylcholine reaching the receptor cells of nerve impulses. This may lead to memory loss, confusion, drowsiness and even sedation. These effects are more pronounced in old-aged people. Loss of muscular strength and fainting is a symptom which could be seen in the patient. Use of anticholinergic drugs is not recommended for patients with conditions like glaucoma, hyperthyroidism, heart ...
Evidence Based Practice (EBM)
According to Rousseau (2006), EBM is a concept in which decisions are made and policies formulated on the basis of sound evidence. Contemporarily, there has been a notable paradigmatic shift in how medical professionals use scientific research and data analysis in the process of making decisions as well as formulating the policies as mentioned. The role of evidence in decision and policy making in clinical practices has yielded the practical outcomes. Though managers and policymakers have consistently been advised to embrace the use of evidence based management practices, there has been significant negligence in the adoption of this concept. ...
The art piece selected for discussion is called “Midwestern States” by artist Elizabeth Ayers. It is a glazed ceramic piece of pottery that is clearly a jug that would be used for pouring drinks. The piece appears to be from 1900, yet looks like something that could be used in the 21st century. The ceramic jug is a freestanding piece that is somewhat skinny with a thin handle and a smooth finish overall. The glaze brings forth the shiny surface of the piece as it sits up against the white surface. One could assume that the image of the ...
After reading the second chapter of the book, I learned that Constitutional democracy in the United States was not naturally implemented and practiced in the country. The constitution of the United States has undergone many amendments before it became the constitution that is no practiced and applied in the entirety of the country. During the years that the country was under the colonization of Great Britain, the need for concrete and strong laws to help build the nation again. After being colonized, the United States employed the use of a federal system of government. This means that the power ...
The constitution of the United States provides balance war powers for the legislative and the executive branches of the government. During the war, the constitution provides the authority for the president to be the commander-in-chief or the highest governing individual. On the other hand, the authority to declare war is given by the constitution to the congress (Findley & Fraser, 2008). The division of powers according to constitution is considered harmonious until concerns and issues arose after the Vietnam War (Library of Congress, 2015).
The congress has been concerned regarding the deployment of United States troops in hostile areas in ...
Interaction between the three branches of power
"Trias politica", as it was formulated in the 18th century, includes separation of powers between the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government (Peterson). An important element in it is the system of checks and balances, which guarantees that none of the three should dominate the others. This is ensured by empowering each branch to have its own set of powers (balances), and some of the competencies of each branch make sure that another branch doesn't abuse its power (checks). Here are just a few examples:
Checks on the executive branch by the legislative branch: The Congress can override ...
The United States of America have gone a fairly long way of establishment. Starting as a number of colonies, and ending up as one of the most powerful countries in the contemporary world, the U.S. has proved that nothing is impossible, and that mistakes can only lead to the better future. One of the greatest examples for this statement would be the existence of the Articles of Confederation, with all their vices, because it were the wrongs in this document that made it possible for the Constitution to be written. The present paper is meant to dwell upon the ...

Globalization has caused an increase in the number of multinational corporations across the globe. Globalisation has had implications on the operations of multinational corporations including especially in human resource management. The Branches of the Unites States Government IP2
The United States Constitution has ensured that the US government is divided into three separate branches-the executive, the legislative and the judicial, so there would be checks and balances and that neither one branch can abuse the power vested in it. However in times of war, emergency or a gridlock over a policy decision, the president can use his presidential powers to bypass the other two branches of the government and every president has issued executive decrees. For instance, President Obama has issued presidential orders ...

The Constitution Act of 1982, which introduced some of the most important changes to the Canadian Constitution since it came into force in 1867; has and continued to play a significant role in changing the framework of Canadian politics (CDOJ, 2016). These changes, on the whole, have had a substantially positive effect on the Canadian political community.
In order to understand the benefits of Canadian constitutional reform on the political community, one must first understand how the Constitution had arranged, regulated, and influenced Canadian politics in the past. The Canadian Constitution of 1867 had a number of characteristics that ...

In American politics, the association between Congress and the President has been, as one would expect where there is a division of powers, challenging. The Founding Fathers developed a system of checks and balances as the foundation on which the States ratified the American Constitution. As a result, and with one branch of the government writing laws and determining budgets that another branch has to execute and spend respectively, an inherent tension has defined the American government. Now, every President seeks to influence policies. After elections, a country’s President is at liberty to bring his or her goals ...
Identify the three branches of Texas government and describe their functions.
Texas was admitted as the 28th State back on 29 December 1845. This was nine years after its secession from Mexico in 1836. The current constitution of Texas was adopted in the year 1876 (“Texas State Government at a Glance, n.d.”).
As a result, the Texas’ government operates under its Constitution, which comprises a type of unitary democracy for its state government, one that uses the Dillon Rule in addition to governments both at the municipal and county levels (“Abbott, n.d.”). The Constitution of Texas divides the power of state movement into three specific departments namely the legislative, executive ...
The American political system as it was formulated by the Founding Fathers and written down in the Constitution was based on a particularly eighteenth century vision of liberal government based on Enlightenment ideals. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights as a document is a great example of what the priorities and values of the Framers of the Constitution were. The values of the Framers which they fought a war against Great Britain over basically centered around the belief in limited government, the decentralization of power and the separation of powers combined with a system of checks and balances. ...
Human Resource Management Issues
Introduction
The human resource unit is perhaps the most dynamic one compared to virtually all the others. Majorly, this arises from the fact the human resource deals with the most important part of an organization and that is the employees. Therefore, there is a need for constant evolution in this area to ensure that the organization stays at par with the changing requirements of the employee.
Specifically, various issues are of utmost concern to each agency. For instance, compensation and benefits for the employees are one of the most important areas that the human capital department deserves to pay ...
Constitutional Development
The distinctions between the United States and other countries in the globe have been a fascinating subject for many scholars, dating back to the French political thinker Alexis de Tocqueville, who described America as an exceptional region in the early 19th century. Nearly two centuries later, work ethics and individualism in the country stand out from the rest of the planet. However, this particular essay looks at the leadership system in the United States. For the articulate development of the political and social ideologies in the nation, a comparison is created between America and the United Kingdom.

In this paperwork, I am going to discuss the different religions in the United States illustrating how these people live.
The United States has the largest number of religious groups than any other country in the world. The majority of Americans identify themselves as Christians. The majority of the Americans Christians are protestant and it is vital to note that protestant denominations differ widely in their values and practices. Roman Catholics consist of the next leading group of American Christians, while the Eastern Orthodox is third (Browning 58).
In United States, there exist numerous protestant denominations, such as, Lutherans, Methodists, Baptists, and so on. A good number of these protestant denominations are broken into separate groups. These separate groups ...

The constitution emerged to create a structured society through the creation of a stable system of government and protection of individuals’ powers. It creates three branches of government with different responsibilities and mandates that complement each other in achieving the government objectives. The legislature has a responsibility of making laws, the executive implements the laws, while the judiciary undertakes their interpretation (Cox, 1987, p.42). The Constitution regulates the powers of these branches so that none is superior to the other, but rather work in harmony. It also outlines the powers of the federal government such as printing money, controlling ...

[2]. The United States is a representative democracy as opposed to a direct democracy. Accordingly, we the people forfeit our right to be directly involved in most matters of the national government in return for trust that our representative will act on our behalf and in our best interests. Naturally, because we are not able to attend all the meetings on policy, meet the policy experts, and otherwise stay informed of all the necessary information needed to vote on a law, we the people trust that our representative is doing that for us. Consequently, a representative not ...

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Ya Kun Kaya group had many goals and aims altogether. Firstly, the restaurant wanted to expand its cafeteria to the neighboring nations so as to increase its customer base. Secondly, the organization wanted to expand its supply chain on the products that they sell to all local and foreign clients. Thirdly, the hotel business was to push for the outsourcing of human resource personnel to boost their skills and manpower (Grant, 2003). In essence, the achievement of these plans had to come in handy with follow-up strategies. The tourists, locals, and the regular orders were given priorities by ...
Constitutions define principles guarding a society or suggest a political goal that a society envisions to achieve. Constitutions are more than a platform where structure; authority and responsibility of government institutions are defined (Krasner 87). They also portray essential political, economic and power relations by the culture, values and interest of the group that created it. Also, the events of the period in which the document was written contributed enormously to its content. Definition of the relationship between those in government and the citizens is also available in the Constitution and the limit of their practices clearly defined. This ...

Each legula has upper and lower branches. The organ is twisted into a spiral in a quiescent state. Butterfly’s head has a special pump that creates a pressure to move liquid through the food canal to the gut.
P. rapae’s average forewing length is about 49.6 mm, while its proboscis’ ...
In order to ensure peace and prosperity of a country, most governments have employed the use of stringent rules and regulations to govern people. However, some people stray away from the common perception of government and embrace anarchy. Anarchy is basically opposite of what the government stands for, anarchism is a political ideology (Carter, 1971) that holds the state undesirable and harmful while advocating for stateless institutions. The view of anarchists stray away from the commons masses and more often they tend to go extreme and cause social disturbance and unrest (Gage, 2009)as was the case of the ...
Is this a task best handled by the courts?
The task of deciding whether the laws enacted by the government are consistent with the rules in the constitution is best handled by the courts. The nature of the court system in the United States allows those sitting judges, especially in higher offices, to make decisions that are outside the bounds of party politics (Marbury V. Madison 137). This allows the decisions to remain within the framework of the law.
Would your answer be different depending on whether the judges in such courts were elected or appointed for life?
If judges were elected then they would not function as well in this role. This is because they would then be given the incentive to make decisions that will ...

East versus West, Capitalism versus Communism. Vietnam and North America are two very different countries. Not only they are located at the opposite sides of the globe, but also the mentality, the vision of the world is like day and night. It would be wrong to compare the educational system in these countries and decide which one is better. However, it could be useful to take a look at the outcomes of the systems and understand which works better. Although even this would be a bias vision, since the needs of the people in these countries and their goals ...

Littering: The Urban Menace
The word “litter” is commonly heard in connection with animals which produce many offspring in one go. It thus suggests something of a numerical excess seen in relation to the norm, here the human pattern. In the pejorative sense it conveys an inconvenient recurrence. In the special context of habitable environments it clearly implies inconvenient excesses that destroy the rhythm and balance of otherwise placid surroundings. By deduction it refers to redundant objects and material that disturbs the calm spell of community life. Thus we may locate littering in the environmental perspective.

The 1876 Texas Constitution is among the most detailed state constitutions within the United States. There have been a significantly high number of proposed constitutional amendments since the document became operational on 15 February 1876 (Ericson). From the outset, it is important to note that the high number of amendments to the Texas Constitution is because it is highly restrictive given that the State of Texas can only exercise powers derived from the its Constitution. The Texas Constitution is similar to the other State constitutions because it provides for the separation of powers, but also includes some provisions that ...

The US Constitution was born amidst the uncertainty and the instability that the Articles of Confederation could not correct. In crafting the set of “institutional arrangements of government” (Lowi et al 2015, p. 40), which was believed to result in the strengthening the union of the various states that the Articles were not able to do, the framers had to tread a delicate balance between state independence and federal government power. Their deliberation of the document was largely underpinned by lessons from past historic experiences that underscored the weaknesses of the Articles. In crafting the Constitution, there were several ...
