Abstract
The last few decades have seen significant judicial and legal changes related to divorce and child custody. The aim of this paper is to look at the child custody issues related to a particular case and how American Psychological Association’s Guidelines for Child Custody Evaluations can help to resolve those issues. In most cases, there is little empirical evidence to support the methods used by professionals in resolving child custody disputes in the court.
