Water is a very important commodity for the survival of humankind. The hydrological cycle aids in availing water to the earth. It begins when water in the streams, lakes or oceans is heated by the sun and turns into water vapor that penetrates into the air. Also, when plants transpire, water enters the air. The water vapor then condenses to form clouds which, eventually, through precipitation, fall back onto the earth's surface in the form of snow, sleet or rain. This process is made possible when the temperature of the air drops due to air moving up the mountain’s ...

Everyday upon awakening in the morning, I stretch my arms, legs, do a backbend, and head downstairs for a cup of tea. This is a ritual which results in me spending twenty to thirty minutes in the kitchen every single morning. I spend thirty seconds staring at the tea kennel waiting for the water to boil and then another twenty minutes waiting for the tea to cool, enjoying its deliciousness, and gazing off into the expansive landscape of my back and side yards. The effects of drinking tea, whether caffeinated or not, and taking this time out of my morning are clear: ...
The Free Dictionary defines will as the mental faculty that enables an individual to choose of decide upon a particular course of action. It is in this light that some people hold the belief that the greatest good in view is what determines the will. This is based on the theory of utilitarianism mainly fronted by philosopher John Stuart Mill. Utilitarianism holds that an action is good if it brings maximum happiness for the greatest number of people. In essence, this means that such an action causes more happiness but less suffering. For example, politicians will pass a certain legislation if ...
Illicit drugs such as MDMA are typically thought to be in a category of their own when compared to alcohol. Most think illegal substances share nothing in common with ones that we are allowed to purchase on a daily basis. Many forget that MDMA had very humble roots, having been synthesized in a lab and used for therapeutic purposes. Eventually, it morphed into something that could harm people. Alcohol has a similar history. Once used as something that would relax an individual after a long day of work, it is now something that people become addicted to every day. Though the two drugs are ...
Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)

To do so, she sets two groups of participants where she ensures that one group takes 8 glasses of warm water every day per person and the other takes an equal amount of cold water. Physical activity and eating for the two groups should be maintained equal and ...

The sense of achievement obtained after successfully completing a goal cannot be expressed casually. It is important to set goals, have a clear vision and plan to achieve the goals. As a product of recycled messages and tangled motivation, I can only explain why I cannot have any permanent tattoos.

The states and Congress have always been at logger heads on how to divide or share responsibility in governing the country. The states have for a long time protested some acts of the Congress, which in their assumption undermine their independence and autonomy. This was witnessed during the Civil War and has spread to other political issues. There are areas such as national defense, which lie in the federal domain. However, the Constitution is unclear in what levels the national and other levels are in charge. The Supreme Court is therefore forced to referee in the disputes by deciding whether ...

It is simply not possible to carry out the licensing of responsible behavior among human beings. Michael Brake in his article ‘Needed: a license to drink’ says that people should be given licenses that show that they are fit to drink alcohol with responsibility . In the same way, Bobbi Leder in her article ‘Should people be required to obtain a license before becoming parents?’ says that the ability of people to be good parents should be checked before ‘licensing’ them to have children . Both authors think of the issues of alcoholism and bad parenting to be the same as irresponsible driving, ...

A person who violates this law is liable for committing a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as commended in the constitution. The irony though is that in Florida one can buy a house, own a firearm, enlist in the army, get ...
