Meiosis is also called litotes. This is a process by which there occurs cell division. The result is ‘four daughter cells’ with chromosomes that number half of what the parent cell had. This process has two main phases; one, ‘interphase meiosis 1’ and two, ‘interphase meiosis 2. Both these processes are cell division processes.
