Abstract
Heat transfer through a cylindrical pin fin s studied. For the purposes of this study, thermal conductivity, heat transfer coefficient and the source terms and the sink terms are assumed to depend on the temperature. In the model being used for the study, the source and sink terms are given as arbitrary functions. We therefore employ techniques on symmetry to find the forms of the source and the sink terms which the extra lie point symmetries are admitted.
