Social structure refers to the pattern within the culture organization through which social action takes place. It is also defined as the arrangement of roles, organizations, institutions, and cultural symbols that are stable over time, often unnoticed and are changing more invisibly. Social structure enhances and constrains what takes place in social life (López & Scott, 2000). The definition, however, is altered from time to time on different levels of socio-analysis.
