Abstract
A metaphor is a description of an object real or imagined using concepts that cannot be applied to the object in a conventional manner. The metaphor can be a word, an image, a figure of speech. The object that is being described is known as the source while the unconventional concepts are known as the target. The metaphor could be derived as a result of certain similarities between the source and the target. Each culture has its representation based on the cultural dimensions which provide a framework for organizing the knowledge within that culture.
