Abstract
Supply chain management has its origin from the; just in time production and logistics. It continues to flourish in the manufacturing sector although it is still largely dominated by logistics[ CITATION Rob97 \l 1033 ]. SCM however is more focused on covering the whole scope of the supply chain by attempting to view and solve problems from a supply chain perspective, while taking to consideration the interdependency that is evident in any supply chain.
