Metric units verses customary units
One finds metric units easier to convert because they only contain seven basic quantities. These include length, mass, time, temperature, electric current, amount of substance, and light intensity. This means that all other units are derived from the basic units. Conversions of metric units are quite easy because the other smaller or larger units of metrics are expressed using prefixes that are powers of ten (Customary & Metric Systems of Measurement, n.d). For example, one gram = 103 kilogram. Therefore, converting 15 kilograms to grams ;
