At the end of my staying and studying at high school, as all of my peers did, I started to question myself about the next place, which I would want to spend next couple of years at – college. And how can you make any assumptions without having any basic facts about the institution itself at your disposal. That is when I began to gather all of the available information, that there was, that helped me to create more or less clear view of college as a place.
After talking to my parents and browsing the internet, I understood that, fist of all, college is the next level of responsibility, that will be required from you, as it is the entrance to the adult life. In there you are able to choose whether you want to study hard and become a scholar someday, or take a more practical path, and start applying your skills in student organization. From my friends I heard quite different opinions on the question of college, who were saying, that it is a place, where the old life ends and the new one starts, where you find your closest friends, that will stay with you forever, where your personality and your mind will finally take shape; while others were telling, that it is completely worthless place to be spending your time at, that it cannot give you or teach anything, that you have not known already. But they were completely wrong and I am honestly glad about it.

There are as many conclusions and opinions as there are people in that college. Frankly speaking, from my first moment of staying there, there was no goal in my head of making any good impression, basically any impression on the people I was going to be studying with. And because of this, a lot of them considered me to be a little alienated from the society. But they proved to be wrong, as the reason was not me parting from students, it was just that I did not really like most of them. Another part of peers found me absolutely sociable, broad-minded and just interesting to be around with, and these were the people to become my dearest friends for my whole student life.
