In the “Losers of Globalisation”, the writer expresses his opinion that the globalization does more harm than good as many citizens are negatively impacted. From the writer’s line of thought, anything that has a few inadequacies should be condemned like air travel –which has fatal accidents. I disagree with the writer as the positives of globalisation greatly outdo few limitations it poses and also because the limitations raised can be easily solved as opposed to demonising the whole process of international integration.
In the “Globalization has increased wealth gap”, the writer argues that the parties involved in making globalisation a success, have altered its right path and tries to interrogate where the parties drifted and ways to make it work. This makes think that common problems we read about like poverty in Africa, sustainable ways need to be explored. I agree with the writer that the globalization has brought some disparities and practical ways to make it work need to be sort.
In “5 Things Even Pro Drivers Don’t Know About Summer Driving” the article disperses some misplaced cost cutting practices and offers better and safer ways to reduce costs. This makes me think that the continued use of winter tyres in summer – that my family is guilty of is costly to us and harmful to the environment. I concur that more needs to be done to reduce pollution as well as cut costs.
In the “Dansko stepping up its U.S. footprint”, the writer looks at an American company with 100% production unit outside the county trying to make a comeback home. These makes I think of the overall influence cheap factors of production plays in the decision to set up production facilities outside US with American companies like Dell, Apple having substantial production unit outside America. I’m in agreement there is a need for American companies to look for solutions that would suit the domestic market.
In “, everybody wants to rule the world”, the writer talks about the ways that globalisation is perceived to spread global cooperation but in reality it increases individuals competiveness with others for economic survival. In any health environment, competitiveness is necessary as it breeds more innovativeness and efficiency as firms look to cut costs to increase innovativeness. I differ with the author as competiveness is an important ecosystem of any individual.
