Relationship between Culture and Working Environment
The culture of a workplace is defined as the values, attitude and behaviors shared together by a group of people in a working environment. A healthy working environment contains factors such as proper management skills and human resource policies for efficient performance. For an organization to have a positive response at the workplace the employees’ personality and job satisfaction must be considered by the top managers.
There exist several diversities at workplace affecting most employees, in turn, reduces their professional practice and exploration of their talents in areas of specialization. Therefore, it is important for a worker to be alert and prepare to perform any job assigned to him with the cultural values at that working area. These variables include inappropriate language expression, gender biases, self-discipline and respect for others in the administration and personal grooming among others (Online Practicum 2005).
Concerning the issues affecting workers in an organization, it is also important to define ways to solve these problems. Solutions are one educating both employees and employers about the length of time required to understand one common language used for communication in that particular administration. Secondly, all the staff should have one mode of dressing code for uniformity at the workplace. Lastly, educating all the individuals at the working environment on organizational goals and activities they should perform to have an intermediate outcome (Pougiale 2010).
In conclusion, for a manager to reduce cultural malpractices in department good governance in the organization in the imperative as this will help them to have equality to everyone in the organization regardless of their gender and status. By doing so, the people will encourage and support one another to work as a team for the development of the organization.
