A dream team is a group of individuals entrusted in achieving certain set goals of an organization with much accuracy and efficiency. The team usually consists of professional experts from across many fields in the organization. The dream team has to be very inclusive in its representation in order to be able to achieve the desired outcomes of the given company (Maxwell & John 193). For instance, in the municipality case, the dream team is entitled to formulate the best strategy required to explore the underground water within the parcel of land. The dream team has to formulate a well-designed plan to extract the water and distribute it to the entire municipality. The various professionals required for this particular task are the designer, structural engineer, auditor, psychologists, supervisor, and the public relations officer.
The table below indicates the roles played by each professional as well as the various fields of expertise required to be present within the dream team.
Considering the fact the dream team is a combination of various professionals and field of expertise, it is appropriate to expect a number of difficulties arising from the mingling of the individuals(Maxwell & John 177). The following are the most common such difficulties.
Lack of co-operation in that the various professionals might fail to work together with each other due to lack of appreciation on the duty each undertakes.
Poor communication between the experts owing to the fact that some individuals do not complete have any simple understanding of the others tasks.
Inability to plan capital uniformly since the budget for the money allocated to the engineering field might be the same as the ones allocated to the management and this might go well with the professionals(Maxwell & John 117).
However, the dream team does formulate strategies to counteract the above difficulties within the dream team. Firstly, it offers education and training to its members in order to equip them with good interdisciplinary skills to coexist with each other. Secondly, the team carries out frequent studies to find out the root cause of the difficulties and seek guidance from professionals to assist in curbing the challenges.
