In the United States, the president is the head of government of the United States and the head of state this is as per stipulated by the United States Constitution. The chosen leader in the United States becomes the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces. He or she serves the country for a four-year term after being indirectly elected by the Electoral College or the House of Representatives. Among the 44 presidents elected in the United States, there is no woman president. For one to be a leader in the United States he or she must be United Sates’ citizen by birth, be a united states resident for 14 years or more and be above 35 years old. As per the American Constitution, there is no gender discrimination for one to become the President of the United States.
The United States is willing to give a chance for a female in the presidency. From the recent polls conducted including the CNN poll, about 80% of the American voters have a feeling that America is ready for a woman president. In this 80%, most of the people who feel that America is ready for a woman president are men. Women, this time, have also improved in number and are willing for the woman president. Most of the citizens also hope and believe that the United States will elect a female president in their lifetime. From Democratic voter a woman, Hillary Clinton holds the first position having more than 50 points ahead of the second aspirant.
Both males and females in America have expressed that they will be okay when the woman is given the role of the Commander-in-Chief. They feel that a female president will comfortably handle some international crisis. Many express that there is a little difference when it comes to the toughness on the issues of the natural defense. Women feel that they should give a chance to a woman because a woman leader will be fair and will follow rules too. They emphasize that a woman will make effective speeches and good choices too. Hillary Clinton is now popular, and many American beliefs in her and therefore ready to vote for her to be the first woman president in the United States.
