Germany
Nowadays Germany is one of the most successful countries. It has a lot of partners all over the world. Also, it is a country with the strong economy and good relationships. It is famous for its food, sports event, cinema and so on. But it wasn’t always so perfect. Germany has changed over the years and a lot of bad things happened with it.
As you know, in 1914-1918 was a big fight, World War I, and Germany was one of the most important members of it. “People all over the world wanted other people to know how great their country was. Many people believed that their country win if there ever was a war” (Thompson). Austria-Hungary had the promise of full German support. During the World War I have created two sides of rival powers. On one side were the Central Powers – Austria-Hungary and Germany. On the other side were the Allies – France, Great Britain, and Russia.
In this war, Germany had a big authority. German’s economy was in good condition, so could give money for the army. It was caused by high level of industry, which support quickly mobilization; new technology, which helped develop the modern type of production; high qualification and discipline of workers. All this had to make German’s winner closer, but other countries used all their power and made Germany a little bit weak. And we can see that they did it and won the war.
The end of World War I had influenced in every country. After all fights, Germany was called fault in this war. So was signed Peace of Paris Treaty between the Allied Powers and Germany. The country had to refuse from part of its territory, it was ordered to pay substantial reparations for civilian damage during the war. Also, Germany had to give up its colonies, reduce army, stop making offensive weapons, and deliver a large amount of free coal each year to Belgium and France.
But World War I is not the only thing which had influence in Germany. We have to remember about World War II, where Germany again was the most important member in it. So this war left a lot of things about which we remembered until now. Germany has changed too.
After World War II was defined the boundaries of Germany. The country had to pay reparation of $20 billion. Also new German mark appeared. In this case, Germany was destroyed and became a poor country. But we can’t say it about it today because it is a great country at this time. After all this, the Germans love their country and proud of it. There are a lot of tourists every day.
The concern for the environment take a big place in Germany, government take care of people and do everything for harmony between people and nature. the country decided to stop use atomic energy and became the leader of using the most ecological type of energy, especially wind energy. The Germans like the car and try to do the best in the whole world. The country directs its own energy power and politics to the strengthening European integration.
As you see, every majestic country has come through something difficult and terrible. Though, everything leaves some scar on the destiny of the country. And Germany is an example, how the country could rise even if it didn’t have some opportunity. Nowadays it is a really wonderful country with its own tradition, habits and memory of its history and way in which it became a great country.
