The United States of America is the only country in the world whose government has not yet allowed intervening in the pricing and limiting the income of doctors. This country demonstrates an integrated approach to all subjects of economic activities. That is why the US is the world leader of innovation and research in the field of health. 18 of the last 25 winners of the Nobel Prize for medicine are either American citizens or scientists from other countries working in the United States.
However, the shortcomings of the American model that was forced to start the reform movement are generally known. First and foremost it is the high cost, constant and uncontrolled spending growth. According to some reports, inflation in medicine is much higher than in other areas of life. According to the latest survey conducted by the Commonwealth Fund, 82% of US citizens believe that the system requires either fundamental reform or complete overhaul. ("The Commonwealth Fund", 2016)
I believe that this is very important to create a budget and follow it in a healthcare environment as this will reduce any risks, especially for doctors. This will preserve natural market competitive relationships between them, leaving doctors as subjects of economic activities in accordance with the fee schedule form of payment. To be successful health care managers and executives, regardless of the specific area within a health care organization they lead, must all have a firm understanding of accounting and financial management. It is clear that not everyone will become the chief financial officer, but everyone is making financial decisions and needs to be able to communicate effectively with financial managers and create a budget.
