Hello everyone and thank you all for coming. My name is and today I’m going to talk briefly about my project, that is a strategic analysisis of A.P. Møller Maersk.

As you probably already know A.P. Møller – Mærsk A/S (“APMM A/S”) is both the main operating unit and the holding company of the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group (“APMM”), which is a global conglomerate operating in a wide range of sectors including oil & gas, container shipping, tanker shipping, terminals, offshore drilling, offshore supply services, towage port services, and retail. With a core focus on the shipping, transportation, and energy business sectors, the company is headquartered in Copenhagen and operates in more than 130 countries, with some 121,000 employees in its global network.
This is the world’s largest container shipping company. The company is involved in a great variety of shipping services and activities. They also deal in shipping of gas and oil industries. The Maersk group company has a joint five business core ventures which include mainly the APM Terminals, Maersk Oil, drilling and shipping services.
The company is accounted as one of the largest and leading companies in the shipping sector; however, its business nature is much diversified.

Threat of New Entrants and Barriers- the company is faced by this as one of its major challenges. New entrants posses the power of sharing the market hence reducing the overall income of the company.

New entrants into the business venture often tend to reduce the total income of the company since they share the same customers.
Slide 16: RECOMMENDATIONS & CONCLUSION
The company faces various challenges resulting from sharing of customers, they can stop this by offering more lucrative offers for the customers so that the can get hooked up to the company for as long as possible.
They can uphold their mission and vision statements to convince the customers into investing in their services.
