To reduce deception in organization one needs to evaluate both employees and managers. Managers tend to deceive employees so that they can work harder. Employees need to be motivated by using systems where there are rewards for improved performance. In organizations where the employees are involved in the running of the organization, they tend to be motivated, which tends to reduce levels of deception. Additionally, an organization should develop a culture where deceit is considered to be ethically wrong. Existence of such a culture is important especially when new employees are hired. There should be a strong emphasis on a code of ethics in organizations that clearly identifies and stipulates that deceit and corruption are unethical behaviors.
Furthermore, a code of ethics should encourage the employees in an organization to report any incidents of corruption or deceit. Incompetence in many cases results from a decrease in interest from most employees. This results to reduced performance. Frequent performance evaluations may encourage the employee to improve, which helps in reducing the incompetence levels in the organization.
