Personal Statement:
Personal Statement: FNP
My clinical and surgical experiences, coupled with the downright complexity to understand the nursing specialty, have enabled me to develop a strong passion for advancing my career in Nursing. My overarching reason for applying for the position of a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is the innermost desire to achieve satisfaction of becoming a specialist Family Nurse Practitioner, in addition to benefiting from the insight and breadth offered by this nursing specialty. My clinical and nursing experiences have been fundamental in contributing to my heightened desire and interest of pursuing a career as a Family Nurse Practitioner. During my experiences as a nurse, I have held several positions and equally played fundamental roles in the nursing specialty. Coupled with my personal interests, lifelong ambitions, and professional experiences, I believe that your institution will offer me a chance for advancing my career and practice more advanced roles as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
As I am drawn to nursing, my predominant desires and lifelong ambitions as a family nurse practitioner remain the same. I grew up in a poor family but, I have managed to overcome the weaknesses associated with individuals of my kind of upbringing. I am the first graduate in my family and I cannot help wanting to set an example to my children and other members of my family in encouraging them to pursue their dreams, as well as achieve their goals in life. In the year 2008, I re-located to California, from St. Louis MO, as a travel nurse. I am blessed with a son aged 20; who has been my strength in all my endeavors. On August this year, my social life got a boost through my marriage.
I have been a registered nurse since the year 2000. Since this time, I have energetically been involved in healthcare activities in society, such as direct patient care. Furthermore, I served in different departments. I served to the best of my knowledge in the medical/surgical intensive care unit for two years, where I attended numerous patients. My ever-growing nursing experience comes from my service, as a medical/surgical telemetry nurse, which I served for eight years. In this capacity, I attended to patients as a charge nurse and staff nurse. Additionally, I worked at the PICC (peripherally inserted central catheter) line certified for two years, not only did it build my career but also natured me towards helping all people. In the course of my career as a nurse, I was elected to be the state examiner, which I served as an instructor certified nurse assistant. This positions and roles have played a tremendous role in nurturing my personal behavior and strengthening my career.
In my entire life, I have always admired family nurse’s practitioners, responsible for treating a large number of people that generate tremendous impacts in the lives of people, and health of society. Providing health care services to families, communities, and individuals in undeserved region have been my wish. I justly believe I am suited for your institution to undertake my studies as a family nurse practitioner. I am confident, honest, and open to all forms of communication, and these are also of the key traits that a family nurse practitioner needs. I have always supported everyone who needed my help as they underwent bad experiences. As I have mentioned above, my greatest desire is to be a family nurse practitioner. I truly believe that given a chance I will pursue my career to my best, driven by your institutional goal, and my inner desires. Being a hardworking, self-motivated, honesty, and organized, I believe that I will be responsible family nurse practitioner.
