Dear Jeny,
I feel extremely depressed and disturbed for not writing to you for ages. You know, you are the closest friend of mine and I did not manage to find a minute to write just a few lines to my little Jeny. Of course, it is quite absurdly to shift the blame on the circumstances, but still I was really very busy all this time. However, your last message urged me to put everything away for later and to compose this, somewhat appealing, letter.
First of all, I want to offer my frank sympathies to you and Jack. I remember that since our childhood we have always dreamed about our own families with children and, if I am not mistaken, you have always wished to have three kids: two boys and a girl. Actually, I just cannot imagine your feelings when you heard the doctor’s decision concerning your infertility. I suppose that it sounded as an unjust sentence. But, please, do not hang head. You are a strong girl, and as the popular song tells “Big girls don’t cry”. Fortunately, nowadays besides the traditional method of making a child, there are some other ways to become a parent. Adoption is perhaps, the most acceptable way of parenting in your case and I am really happy to hear that you have also considered this variant as a suitable. I am pretty sure that the very moment you and Jack decide to adopt a child, your struggle with infertility is over.
Of course, no one can neglect the fact that adoption is a complicated and a cost-intensive process. Besides, it is a tremendous responsibility. Those brave people, who actually resolve upon adopting a child, should understand that along with the very kid they obtain the range of problems associated with the fosterage. The adoptees need a special care, thus the prosperous parents are expected not only to assist them in overcoming the usual daily difficulties, but also to help them to adjust to life in a new family. The main aim in this process is to raise a happy child with a strong moral fiber and understanding of their importance and uniqueness. However, I have no doubts that your love for children and the endless goodness, you irradiate, will help you to cope with this sort of problems.
At the same time, all these disadvantages are not patch on the bundle of amazing opportunities which adoption may offer both for a child and the adoptive parents. Just imagine, you don’t have to go through the birth process, stand the unbearable pain that most of the birthing mothers suffer from, and still you’ll get a child. That child will definitely bring new colorful lights into your slow paced life. Due to adoption, you’ll get someone to live for, someone to care for, someone to teach good from wrong, and just someone who will become an integral and perhaps the most precious part of your life. I’m sure you’ll wonder why did you hesitate so long to choose the adoption.
As I have already mentioned, adoption will benefit a child as well as you. To tell the truth, I always feel sorry for those poor children whose destiny is to grow without the parental backing, those kids who are deliberately deprived of most of the joys of life. Adoption, in my opinion, is a perfect act of charity. The adoptive parents gift the adoptive child with all their love and kindness, create a calm environment for the kid where they can develop to the full.
Sorry, my lunch break is over and I have to return to my busy life. Please, read this letter thoroughly and think over the opportunity of adoption. This is your real chance to obtain a happy and a friendly family. I believe that you won’t regret it.
With love,
