Analysis of Tourism Website
The paper plans to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the website broadmoor.com. The objective of the website is to offer tourism-based services to people who are looking for travel services.
The first major characteristic of the homepage of the website is that the website is attractive with pictures that depict the panoramic view of enchanting holiday destinations. This will help to attract prospective customers. Secondly, the contact information is prominently positioned at the top portion of the page itself so that the customers can call anytime when they need clarification. The site also offers an online reservation facility. Thirdly, they offer an opportunity to sign up for promo offers. This will definitely work as the company can offer special packages during off season to attract more guests. On the fourth place, the Package to experience the wilderness will also be an advantage for the urban population. Proper promotion of this package will also help the company.
Disadvantages
The First disadvantage of the Broadmoor.com website is that even though the images are attractive, the design is completely cluttered. Hence, a traveler will not be able to find his required service easily. Hospitality industry highlights the need for complete customer satisfaction which is not achieved in the design element of the website. The second flaw is that the most important functional aspect, the online reservation form is not visible on the home page. It is hidden under a link in the top panel which gives an impression that Broadmoor.com does not offer online booking. The package planned as the Women’s Week of Wellness can be a tiresome one to organize. Since most of the women will find it difficult to part their family and job to attend a program like this. Unless an excellent effort is made, this plan is not probable to workout. The seasonal packages could be made into a custom package option since that will be much appealing for most of the people who are looking for holiday packages.
