As your future father, I believe that it is my responsibility to make sure that you are prepared to face the challenges that your future life has stored for you. Growing up I often neglected pieces of advice given to me by my parents and people who cared about me. Unfortunately this has caused me to make some mistakes which could have been avoided. I sincerely do not want the same mistakes for you and would like to give you some pieces of advice.
Cherish every moment that you spend with your family and friends. Time is a merciless thing and before you know it, people around you may be gone. I remember all those weekends when my father had to spend them at work instead of visiting my baseball games and it was breaking my heart. I will never do the same thing to you, and sincerely hope that you will become a great parent someday too.
And the last thing I wanted you to know and understand for when you grow up is the need to be there for other people. Do not turn your back when someone needs your help. Be it someone close to you or a stranger in the street, make sure you help them in a time of need. Being able to help others has always made me happy.
These few simple pieces of advice will help you not to repeat my mistakes and fully enjoy your future life. You will always be blessed by love of those close people around you and it is the best thing one might desire.
