Introduction
The Aljazeera Media Network is a multi-media corporation that is owned by Government of Qatar. The Company is the parent of Al Jazeera and its networks. The Company was launched in November 1996. Al Jazeera media network has transformed itself from news and current affairs channel into a large network with specialty channels that broadcast in several languages and in various regions of the world. The company has expanded to offering a mix of talk shows, news analysis and programming and commentaries and other online platforms (El-Nawawy, & Iskandar, 2003.

The Al Jazeera media network owns the following channels and subsidiaries: Aljazeera English, Al Jazeera Balkans, Al Jazeera Turk, Al Jazeera America, specialty channels such as Al Jazeera sports, Al Jazeera documentary channel and Al Jazeera Mubasher. They also have belN sport that operates three channels (belN 1, belN 2 and belN 3), Al Jazeera Center for Studies, an education channel, mobile applications and Al Jazeera online. Al Jazeera media network specializes in television production that covers virtually all parts of the world. The Company has over 60 bureaus internationally and it broadcasts to over 250 million viewers. Al Jazeera Media Network has approximately 2 5 channels, 2 news websites (Al Jazeera, 2014).

The chairman of the media network is Hamad Bin Thamer Al Thani and it is owned by the government of Qatar (Qatar Royal Family). The company has board of directors and head of various divisions. The company pursues strategies that are oriented towards reaching large number of people. This strategy has been achieved through production of world class content that is recognized globally, real time delivery of news, having news reports in every corner of the earth and creation of cable news channels in various languages. These strategies have ensured that Al Jazeera media network is everywhere (El-Nawawy, M., & Iskandar, A. (2003). Al Jazeera have largest news gathering network which specialize in production of innovative content, news and documentaries. The introduction of Al Jazeera is the best strategy that worked; this is because it brought Al Jazeera at par with CNN and BBC and expanded its audience. The Company’s distribution strategy is also unrivaled. Al Jazeera can be accessed via satellite, phone, IP TV and internet. The company also pursues strategic partnerships such as partnership with Sony Erickson for RSS feeds and Hong Kong Cables limited. This is consistent with its objective to expand audience reach. Because of its sound organizational structure and harmonious board and management operations, the strategies of the company are sustainable. The Company has never witnessed management or board drama hence its success (Miles, 2005).

My position about the Company
Al Jazeera Media Network is a reputable company that has succeeded in building a powerful brand. With its strategies, brand and the lucrative nature of the media, Al Jazeera media network is the best organization that one can work for. Because of the infrastructure in place, Aljazeera Media Network is ripe and lucrative for any merger; it can also acquire some companies. Buying Al Jazeera media network stocks can be profitable due to the profitability of the company and stable management (Tischler, 2010).
Conclusion
Al Jazeera Media Network is a fastest growing media house with a largest distribution channels. The financial position of the company is sound. With a strong brand, Al Jazeera Media Network can provide a lucrative investment deal for investors willing to acquire or buy shares. The company has managed to ward off competition from traditional broadcasters by adopting better strategies.
