The grade point average (GPA) can be considered a negative force in the American educational system. It is based on the assumption that human beings are fundamentally thinking creatures (Brooks). This means that learners must be enrolled in teaching programs to train them to become self-disciplined. This is the initial integral step towards the acquisition of knowledge by school-going individuals. Even though this is partly true, the fact that human beings are driven by their individual desires is inevitable. People have the need to satisfy their particular needs in the manner they want. This is the basis of human identity. The cores of human nature drive people’s actions.
Grit can be defined as people’s ability to withstand stressful situations. This aspect can be correlated to the educational sector. However, this subject can be approached from the perspectives of moral purpose. Altruistic people are known to perform well in grit scales. Good temperament has also been cited in this case. Gritty persons are hardworking and resilient in their spheres of work. Nevertheless, these people still have an inner longing to do things that befit their needs. This understanding shed light on the relevance of the American education system. The question on whether people should be influenced to appreciate the learning process is important. Additionally, creating a sense of longing in learners is a critical factor that should be considered. The educational system should be transformed into an interactive process that accommodates the basic paradigms of human nature.
Altruism is a biological construct that shapes people’s personalities. Concerning this, a person is considered to be more conscious of the welfare of others than their own. Altruism has been defined as the opposite of selfishness, a subject that has been debated severally.
