Sports and gaming activities are arranged worldwide to cultivate positive feelings and enhance physical abilities of individuals. Sports define the culture of any country, and the US does have rich sports culture. People in the US believe in engaging themselves in sports that enhance their physical abilities and promotes emotional stability. The paper highlights sporting guides and purpose of guides among the museumgoers while emphasizing over the late nineteenth century American sports. American Museum of Sport aims to create awareness through the display of guides published in souvenir program in the exhibition arranged. The target is to create awareness among the museumgoers about American sporting trends in the nineteenth century. The guides designed by the experts in the late nineteenth century are displayed in the exhibition to benefit the attendees. The objective of the guides is to educate everyone about the rules of playing any particular sport correctly.
The emphasis on football and rules of the game is a rigorous part of guides displayed at the exhibition. American football legislation tried to eliminate any form of abuse from the sport and made other radical changes necessary. The alterations in the rules revealed the tactics adopted by the policymakers to negate the negative impact on the American sports during the nineteenth century. The committee proposed several rules that were accepted by the Football Association to be part of the guides displayed at the exhibition. The collection presented at the exhibition explained the ground standards and origin of rules to the museumgoers to create awareness. Motivation and awareness among the youngsters and museumgoers were kept in mind while showing a collection of the late nineteenth-century sporting guides for the public.

The nose mask has a history of saving players throughout the sporting history because of the materials used in making the mask.The material of rubber without any wires does not hurt the player wearing it. The exhibition also displayed the utilization and evolution of nose mask over the years. The guides showed at the exhibition contained more than thirty-six rules of the football game. Rules such as the team of eleven men should play the game, or there should be an umpire and referee to inform the museumgoers about the gaming rules and to what extent the sport was alive in the late nineteenth century. The types of balls used in several games such as football, rugby, and baseball were displayed at the exhibition to create awareness.
The purpose of displaying all the collection was to change the perception of the general public about the trends in sports in America and inform them about the American heritage. All the guides, rules, models, and articles displayed in the exhibition revealed how America was enthusiastic about the games from the very start. Enthusiasm and motivation observed amongst the youngsters and older people from the beginning and such exhibition brought people from all cycles of life on one platform to show their interest in sports. Also, the exhibition arranged at American Museum of Sport instilled positive vibes among the museumgoers. The initiative taken to promote sports and trends of sports in the late nineteenth century was explained at the exhibition that proved to be a significant step by the museum authorities.
