Shakira
Sometimes we stop in front of difficulties and obstacles. Sometimes it seems that all things are lost and everything is against us. At this moment there comes a tipping moment when you need to gather your strength and go forward for your dream. Look around you! We will never see a society in which everybody is happy and satisfied. It is, in fact, a mythical representation, especially under the blows of fate. We can improve out lives every day and every moment. We shoud not give up, if we want to succeed. Let us see what the failures were among the famous personalities and how they overcame them. People who change themselves are known throughout the world. Shakira is one of them.
When she was 18 months old, she had already known the alphabet. At three years she could reed and write. At four years she was ready to go to school. However, the inertia of the structure of education had not let her do that. The following year special examinations had been carried out and experts stated that Shakira was genius (child prodigy). In the beginning her mother thought her daughter would become an artist because Shakira drew a lot, or a writer because in four years she was writing poems. At school she predicted the future stars of ballet or modern dance just because she often danced in front of her classmates belly dancing. At age eight she wrote the song "Your sunglasses" under the influence of William Optics.
Shakira says that she wanted to develop a character of a leader, a winner. Shakira was not only talented, but also very beautiful girl. Once, she won the competition "Child of the Atlantic". At ten years old, Shakira's parents turned to a manager; she was invited to dance belly dancing. Friends remember her with a coin in the navel. Her parents insisted on her participation in the competition. She won it. Than she won all the prizes at competitions in Barranquilla.
A few years later a journalist Monica Arias introduced her to the office of Sony Music Ciro Vargas. Shakira sang to them in the lobby of the hotel El Prada and they were so amazed that they had immediately signed a contract with Shakira. From that moment she would have taken hours of work in recording her first album "Magic" (Magia). She studied at the del Ensenyansa Barriloche and though she was an actress at college, it was not allowed in the choir. One of the teachers said that her voice sounds like a moo goats. It was a shock for Shakira. Despite, she did not let it stop her from becoming a star.
At age 13, Shakira experienced her first joys and sorrows of love. It was a neighbor boy, Oscar Prado, she had dreamed about before becoming a professional singe. At age 14 she became the most famous singer in the city, and her name began to sound across the country. At that time she had the honor to represent Colombia in the Festival Viña del Mar (Viña del Mar), where she won the "Silver tea" (Gaviota de Plata) with the song "ERES" from her own album. There she met Ricky Martin. He was on the jury and was voting for her. Later, in an interview he admitted that he had never seen such a talented girl.
At age 15, Shakira recorded a second album "DANGER" (Peligro). Only one song from the album was successful, the whole album was not. People said it was caused by prohibition to advertise the album. She decided to concentrate on a new album, which would have reflected her internal state and credo better. The contract was signed for three years and if the third drive fails, it would end the whole career. It seemed impossible to achieve high sales performing ballads, so she changed course and went on to perform pop rock.
After graduation, she decided to move to Bogota (Colombia's capital city), but the fear of leaving her family and friends bothered her. Many journalists convinced her that only in Bogota she could succeed, so she gave up, packed up, took her mother and went to the capital. When she arrived in the capital first time, she was interviewed in the "Sony Music" office by "TV GUIA" magazine. After the interview, she received an offer from the producers of "CENPRO" to play in the title role in the TV series "EL OASIS".
At the same time the magazine was planning to hold a competition for the title of "Miss Columbia Television" and Shakira was included in the list of contenders. The magazine held a special photo session with Shakira, photos that showed the world the beauty and the perfect curves of her body. After that, her popularity rating soared. Summing up, that magazine named her the best actress of the year.
Around that time, Shakira was living good in luxury apartments in the north of Bogota. She was in love with a man named Oscar Wal (another Oscar), who moved from Barranquilla to Bogota for her, but as it always happens in such cases, their love passed quickly. In 1994 Shakira performed her first concert in front of a very large audience, including journalists, film critics and stars. Here, she was noticed by Pares Tellez (Parecia Tellez). He would be her future manager. Sony is already going to break the contract with Shakira, but at the last moment someone offered her a song to include it in the collection. In the taxi on the road from home she wrote a song "DÓNDE ESTÁS CORAZÓN?" (Where are you, heart?). It became the most popular song. From that moment her popularity would not see the sunset.
Her work on the third album "Pies descalzos" (Bare feet) started in the United States with producer Fernando Ochao LIMS (Luis Fernando Ochoa). The album was modestly presented October 6, 1995 at the National Theatre of La Castellana (The Biography Channel 2013, 1). This album was a huge success. At the same time Luis Fernando Ochao said that the whole album was stripped from "The Pretenders" and other English-speaking groups. Despite that, the world tour followed immediately after the album was released, and many songs were at the top of many charts.
At this time, she falls in love with Gustavo Gordillo former member of the rock group "POLIGAMIA". Communication between them was during about five months, before the relations ended. In the same year she opened the Festival of Viña del Mar. She also sold over a million copies of her album. The "Diamond Prism" (El Prisma de Diamante) was presented to Shakira for her outstanding achievements in the field of show business as a new award . The ceremony took place with a large influx of journalists.
Here Shakira met Osvaldo Rios. Millions of her CDs were sold in the world; she broke all the charts and could have received an award for the most award-winning international star of the time. Steven Spielberg asked her for audition for the female lead in the film El sorry.
Glory was met with tragedy. The death of two people who were trampled by the influx of fans. Security could not control them at the gates of her first performance in Barranquilla, since she become famous. Sadly, she did not know about that until she had returned to her hotel. It was the event that she cannot recall without a tremble. This incident Shakira had affected so much that at one point she wanted to give up her career.
She was elected by means of "Woman of the Year" media and "Man of the Year" in 1996. And it was not an exaggeration; she became the first artist from Colombia, who managed to subdue such distant countries like Japan, and brings songs Brazilians (multiple discs in the Portuguese were even recorded). On the Iberian Peninsula (Spain, Portugal) success was not less grand, Shakira songs sounded everywhere on the streets and at their homes. In 1997, all fans of Shakira shuddered, knowing about her affair with fashionable actor Osvaldo Ríos, who at that time was filmed in Colombia (in the series). Lovers did not show their feelings in public, but everyone knew that they love each other. They were in place for delivery of prizes "Billboard" and "Lo Nuestro" (Our). Osvaldo accompanied her on a tour of Brazil. Here, she gave two dozen concerts, overtaking so popular Enrique Iglesias, Luis Miguel, Alanis Morissette. The tour continued in Europe. October 10, 1997, two years after the release of the album "Pies Descalzos". However, she hosted the final concert of her tour in Bogota (Huey 2010, 28).
Hundreds of awards, among them "Eres", "Billboard", "Lo Nuestro", 22 gold records, 55 platinum, "Diamond Prism". This was true followers of torment. The public and the media demanded release her fourth album. It is very intimidating Shakira, especially the fact that everyone was waiting for a repeat success of her third album. Besides, she did not have new songs because Airport El Dorado stole her paper with the songs. The buzz surrounding the singer rose when she was awarded in Monaco "WORLD MUSIC AWARD" and the president appointed her "Goodwill Ambassador". However, most of all it has pleased the prize "Congo de oro", handed at the festival in Barrinkili. At this festival she sang the song "Te olvido" with the great Joe Arrayo (Joe / Hohe Arrayo).Her life's dream was fulfilled.
An endless series of weeks and days, she had successive spent in the creative hours. Shakira did not break. She continued to write songs and searching for a producer. They became Emilio Estefan, whom she met at the presentation of prizes "Lo Nuestro". Shakira doubted cope with all the works, but Estefan convinced her otherwise. And soon she began recording new songs. At this time, the magazine "Time" Latin American edition surprised all Colombians the news of the coming of a new era of rock music, which will be the first representative of Shakira.
The tour, which people have been waiting for, has come with the release of the album "Dónde están los ladrones?" (Where are the thieves?). For the first time in the history of Colombia's presentation took place in Miami. After the presentation of the disc in Bogota, at the end of September, Shakira cried because of happiness: it became five times platinum disc; 300 thousand copies have been sold in just the first day. It may seem that the Shakira nothing more to wish for in this life, but it is not so! She has a lot of cherished wishes to suit different tastes and colors. One of them was to visit Lebanon (home of her ancestors), or fall in love with a person eternal and irrepressible love.
Recording a live version of the songs on the album "MTVUnplugged" and subsequent screening of the concert for MTV Latino, Shakira made sufficiently known in the country called the United States, and the delivery of the Grammy Awards formalize this recognition officially. Her parents saw it and pushed Shakira to the idea to record an album in English. The album was released on the 13th of October, 2001 (in the United States, in Latin America a week earlier), entitled "Laundry service" (Laundry) and contained 13 songs. Nine songs were in English and four songs were in Spanish. The first single was chosen as the most pop song of the album. It was "Whenever, wherever". It had just made Shakira famous.
Catchy tune, a nice clip, which showed Shakira fascinating belly dancing. Unfortunately, as the following singles were not chosen the best songs or clips removed very mediocre.
In 2005, it is published in the next studio album in Spanish Fijacion Oral Vol.1, and in November 2005, the Oral Fixation Vol. 2 English. In 2007, together with Beyonce Shakira recorded the song and made a video for the song Beautiful Liar. After a considerable break out album "She Wolf" in which eclecticism becomes the main principle. The pop and oriental motifs were mixed with rock, electronics and disco.
In 2007 the singer feat Beyonce received the award MTV VMA for the duet "Beautiful Liar" (Moss 2007, 1). From this point begins its constant cooperation with other celebrities. In 2008, a charity evening in Argentina Shakira sang along with Mercedes Sosa, and then spoke with Gustavo and Carlos Vives Surat.
After a long pause in her career, in 2009, Shakira released the album "She Wolf" (Rap-Up.com 2009, 1). It differs from the rest of creation diva electronic dance sound. Here, it is mixed music from different countries.
In autumn 2010, followed by another singer disc album seventh was called "Sale el sol". It contains songs both in Spanish and in English. The album was successful too. It won 13 nominations Billboard de la Musica Latina, as well as six awards the prestigious prize.
Status inspiration indescribable feeling and no one knows when it can visit you. What can be compared inspired state? For someone it can be a weightless, dreamy, relaxed, wool-gathering. For others it is the rise, determination, confidence, freedom, vitality. This condition provides a variety of possibilities for creation of a new stuff, when dreams and brilliant ideas come true. Everything is possible and real, it is allowed relatively quickly and is available only in your hands.
What inspires Shakira?
1. In her spare time she likes to sculpt in clay and engage in manual work.
2. Her favorite band is U2, but of Latin American artists she likes the band Soda Stereo.
3. She plays the guitar as well as harmonica.
4. Ensure that it is the strong desire to "leave a mark in this world."
5. She hates make-up and uses it only because it considers part of her work.
6. She is far from the desire to become a singer’s number one in the world. She wants to have a house on the beach and clams together with her future husband and children.
7. She always liked the dark-haired, muscular and athletic men.
8. She likes that her best friends are parents who are also advisers and fiduciaries for her.
9. She likes rings and its collection of over two hundred pieces.
10. She never goes to bed before three o'clock in the morning and gets up before the clock shows 11 o'clock.
It does not require representation. Shakira is the woman of mystery that had won the hearts of people around the world with her fiery dances and unusual tone of voice. In an interview with actress admitted, if she had not become a singer, she would be a psychologist or an astronomer. Parents of the actress thought she would be a writer since early childhood she was writing the poetry, or the investigator because she was very curious.
Shakira is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and one of the world representatives. Shakira, like all our Goodwill Ambassadors, was chosen because of her compassion, involvement in global issues, mandatory emergency appeal to help children and to young people around the world. We are very pleased that Shakira has joined the UNICEF family. I know it will help bring UNICEF mission to the people who will have a major impact on our future are young people. Critical to her appeal is the fact that Shakira, at 26 the youngest UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, has captured an audience of millions of young people in countries worldwide (Donovan 2004, 1). In December 2007, Shakira has arrived in Bangladesh to meet with victims 'Sidr' cyclone. She spent three days with the victims and visited children affected by the disaster in schools built by UNICEF and participated in the distribution of health kits and warm clothes. She said that from the schools in which she traveled to Mizapure, little remains, but they are still an "oasis" for the children.
Shakira has launched its new line of beauty ‘S by Shakira’ with the parent company Puig in 2010. The brand has released two perfume ‘S by Shakira’ and ‘S by Shakira Eau Florale’ together with lotions and sprays for the body. In 2012, she released a new fragrance "Elixir by Shakira".
The formula of happiness can be defined as follows: happiness is a set of powerful sources of joy in a person's life and the absence of pain sources. If you are successful, then you're happy. To achieve success is harder than it seems at first. Look at the success of Shakira. This is a really long way and great achievements. If Shakira is happy. Her fans are happy too.
