Abstract
The foreign policy of the United States could be closely related to the way that the United States tries to interact with other foreign states. In addition to that, it is also instituted to analyze the standards that are set related to interaction within its organizations, the citizen’s fraternity as well as the corporations. The foreign policy could be generally involved with the different dockets of which it tries to address. Basing on the United States strategies incorporated in the policy, there are different goals that are related to its foreign policy. As indicated in the latest Foreign Policy Agenda of the United States specifically from the Department of the states, there are some of objectives that are observed (Rochester, 2008 pg. 98). They include the urge to instill a more secure, largely democratic and prosperous globe. This is entirely for the sake of the American fraternity as well as the rest of the world. Being a super-power in context of superiority among global nations, The United States has a global mandate to impact of the social, economic as well as political success. Besides the domestic responsibility to impact on the well being of the citizens within the nation as well as the continent at large, the United States has an overall mandate to regulate and participate actively in global matters. An example of these issues is trying to play a role in the efforts to maintain the global economic status. This is by intervening in a friendly manner in issues that are related to the level of foreign exchange. This could be done through preventing externalities that are against development of the international foreign exchange rates.
The international community has definite conceptual frameworks that are use to define the status of the international system. Relating to the international relations theory, there is a relationship mutually created between the international relations as well as the theoretical perspective. The international relations theories are subdivided into several perspectives. These perspectives include the rationalist theories as well as the reflectivity theories. There are differentiated means of thinking that are identified. They are the constructivism, institutionalism as well as the Marxism (Rochester, 2008 pg. 98). Ideally, the idea here is based on the realism. Being a realist, this relies on the security and material power. Here, the political arena is the one that takes dominance. Within realism, there are tenets that characterize the ideology. These include the statist, survival and finally self-help. It derives the member states as the main actors in the international dealings. In addition the idea or territorialism as well as the geographical system are also considered.
The United States is the current superpower globally. Very minimal competition is being felt apart from the economically alienated one in China. Since it has a very significant status in the world, the United States has a very significant role of designing the level of international peace that is expected globally. In addition, the United States has the responsibility to design the direction of the economy. By so doing, it acts as the epicenter of all these social, economic as well as political events globally. For example, the international economic graph is usually in joint. Being a superpower, most of the economic as well as the political events are based in the United States
Ideally, the United States should continually participate in the world activities. However, the level at which the United States involves itself in the global activities should be to a relevant level. However, this stand may change when issues exceed control. It is at this instance that the super power nation is supposed to take charge. However, the intention to take charge should be genuine to avoid calling for unnecessary arguments between international member’s states against action taken (Burchill, 2009 pg 78). For example, a situation where a nation takes chance to develop harmful product, there arises need for intervention.
It is however very discouraging that the United States, representing other nations to take charge over issues that are not at their discretion. This means that the United States does not have the authority to use force in addressing democratic issues, this is because it may not be in the understanding of the reasons for democratic fracture.
The United States participated in the world war I. in this case; there was an extensive use of the militia to acquire powers. As a result, it was able to seize and even operate factories. Similarly, it gained the authority to operate the entire transport as well as the communication sectors. They also engaged in setting industrial production schedules (Burchill, 2009 pg 78). Consecutively, the markets in the Latin America registered an increase in investment by an average percentage of 150%. For example, the ignited fruit company owned 130,000 acres in the Central America.
After the Second World War, the United States implemented peace time. In effect of trying to work on the run and operate some of the firms, then there was a misunderstanding between Native Americans had left some 150 people dead. Similarly, the reality of the American Western expansion made an effort to make these efforts give rise to reliable results. In addition to these basic efforts that are outlined, the United States based some of its policies towards the fact that there was need for a secure experience (Burchill, 2009 pg 78). With regard to the liberalism aspect of understanding where the nation is expected to base its interactions from state to state, the United States is recorded meeting with numerous nationalities.
The United States honored the statements that are in the liberal foundation of ideology. That is, with reference to the world war effects, the United States considered the democracy that no nation could have made war against the other (Rochester, 2008 pg. 98). Numerous if not all behavior towards the issue of liberalism does not support the fact that there was war. On event of the series of events, there was the balance of power politics globally.
Basing our study on the implication of militia intervention in Syria, there were some uncalled for occurrences. The American interest may have been to improve one’s life. Opposing the punitive strike by the militia against the Regime seems to take a realism perspective. In that case there would be need to take into consideration why and why not to withhold the militia from operation. Considering the intention of creating a stable nation from one that is deficient of these virtues, the militia act would be the worst to consider (Burchill, 2009 pg 78). In conjunction with, the United States is considered to have all its privileges of power, prestige and economic as well as political arena. This means that the democracy is practiced admirably through the realism reasoning and some mere support by liberalism
