Introduction
The project is about the development of bronze technology in apple Inc. The plan below will focus on the deliverables required and their quality, how monitoring will be done, the activities that will be required to be completed. The decision making process will also be discussed, the stakeholders to be consulted and finally the acknowledgments and celebration of accomplishments.
Project deliverable Quality Requirement
The projects deliverables include the following, products by or created under the responsibility of the project group. These should be of very high quality. There are products that are given to the group by other related parties to the project and stakeholders. They include products such as training, software, hardware, system documentation and manual, training and project related items. The quality of the deliverables is high level of quality.
Project Deliverable quality Monitoring
Monitoring the progress of a project is essential in order to maintain quality and correct defects. The way to keep track of the activities is by holding weekly and monthly meetings with the whole team until acceptance .setting agenda before the meetings in order to keep time. Progress reports by the project officer will also be used and the frequency it must be approved by the him or her, keeping communication channels open among all stakeholders for example having a common information sharing system. Communication will help keep track of the progress of the project and indentifying risk areas. A time plan will be designed at the beginning of the project and will continue to be filled until the acceptance level of the project. Observation reports and change requests produced during guarantee and maintenance periods. Holding Technical and informal meetings mostly at the beginning of the project to maintain a good coordination between the suppliers, the commission and other related parties (Inc., 2012).
Project deliverable quality reporting
On reporting on the quality of the report, the following processes will be used. First reporting on the activities of the project; the ones that have been started, the ones in progress and the finished activities. Second, it will be reporting on the work package status of the project. The deliverable status and a comment on the general progress of the project. The report will be inclusive of new and continuing risks and the project work plan.
Project deliverable quality discrepancy decisions
Risks are inevitable in any projects. When faced with a discrepancy in the quality of the project deliverable it will be necessary to make decisions. The decision making process will be followed that is first indentifying the problem, looking for alternatives, evaluating the alternatives in terms of cost and benefits. Choose the best alternative and use it to solve the discrepancy. Finally evaluate the outcome, if the alternative has not solved the problem start the process again. Decision making process will make use of several techniques like statistical and mathematical models, expert’s reports, journals, and past decisions on similar trends. Some of the stakeholders to consult when making decisions include the project officer who deals with most of the work, suppliers would also help in making decisions because they deal with the deliverables purchased. Legal officers will advise on the government policies and procedures to be followed (Kerzner, 2001).
