Introduction
Within the context of an organization managerial position, there is a need for the person in charge (manager) to put into action steps and considerations which ensure success in the task appraisal. As a manager, making sure that there is sufficient resource for the undertaking of the underlying task is a major consideration in effective task accomplishment.
Managers embrace the critical aspect of task appraisal of ownership. This is taking responsibility of every action within the system. It involves accepting the credits and liabilities of their policies and thus the course of action with regard to appraising a task. They have the power and inclination to ensure that every action rolls out within the stipulated framework for the achievement of the process of task appraisal. That aspect of ownership creates a sense liability and responsibility, thereby making managers to ensure formulation and execution of positive steps in appraising tasks.
As the company’s manager, I put focus on the three main aspects of task ownership: interest, influence and imagination.
Interest
I evaluate myself against the parameters of the levels of commitment and willingness to put a lot of effort in ensuring the accomplishment of the task. This would answer the question whether am open enough to take the challenge and steer ahead the progress of such task appraisal. I acknowledge the fact that being in the front line in making sure that team members work towards a common goal calls for me to care about the task, develop high level of interest in the task and have rejuvenated energy for accomplishment of the task. Putting the commitment and willingness creates a sense of responsibility and liability upon my head and thus ownership of the task.
Influence
Imagination
Taking a turn on experimenting new things is inevitable within my scope of management and system of ensuring tasks appraisal. My openness to newness of ideas, directions, actions and solutions creates an environment of smooth operation as the dynamism of change encompasses every aspect of tasks appraisal.
