Heritage site
A place with historic and cultural importance such as this must be protected and guarded by the society. It is the moral responsibility of each one in the community to acknowledge the worthiness of such sites. The thought of picturing the future without the site itself gives a feeling that something important is missing. Maybe the community does not recognize the fact today. But down the line, everyone is going to repent it if the site is not protected.
I like your site because it is a people friendly place and caters to several needs of the passersby. The location of the site is very apt. It is in the center of South market, Caltrain and the entrance to freeway. With all the above easily accessible combined with the fact that the place is a delight during the day as well as night, it becomes a great site. During the day a lot of businessmen and tourists walk around and during the night time a lot of residents come to the restaurants and bars such as myself. Not to forget, sometimes the site is the host to popular events such as Giants game or concerts which is a great thing for a social person like me.
And also, I think there is no reason for the site to be tagged as “SoMa” and consider it a dangerous place. After all, all it does is serve the people like me, people who want to have fun and enjoy. If the site is not protected, at least I will be affected seriously. There are so many elements to the site. And if people like me are happy then it only suggests the existence of a healthy and a happy community.
