Art and Copy is a documentary about advertising and is concerned with careers of some of the most successful people in the advertisement industry. The film covers some of the most successful campaigns like Got Milk and Think Different. From the ad, I have been able to understand the industriousness, creativity, and ambition of some of the successful advertisers like George Lois. Availability of cows in the ad for dairy commercial brings out the feeling for people to associate with the advertisement. The ads made in this format bring about the urge for people to like and buy the products (Yüksel, Bilim and Yüksel).
Share a Coke This Sumer is an ad for the Coca-Cola Company that I have encountered in life and interested me most. The ad uses visual clips of youths having fun and joking around as they share coke soda. In the advert, the teens are joking around with water to cool their bodies from the hot temperatures and the ultimate solution for them to feel refreshed by having a coke soda that leaves them feeling fresh. The togetherness seen among the youths in the ad makes it attractive and maintains a lasting impression.
Some adverts may have imagery that is faulty and may not be relevant for life. A commercial for Lexus 2014 car is an example of an ad with the wrong description. The graphics in the car ad are disturbing because they had some satanic images and associated with scorpions, which is incorrect since they relate to the end times of the world. The advertisement should cease from using some of the pictures and graphics that people around the world may associate with conditions and occurrences that are related to a negative phenomenon (Yüksel, Bilim and Yüksel).
