Part 1
According to Tomecek (2010) the concept of art and architecture can be traced back to the ancient times. A large number of architectural buildings originated from piece of art, thus; art and architecture go together. Before putting up a building, sketch is first made. As I walking down the streets, I came across a building with an outstanding piece of art. Its doors were impressive, remarkably well built and easy to open and shut. The doors had fanlights loosely placed on top that looked as fans giving the doors an impressive look. Its windows were marvelous with a modern look; its casement used to open the windows either inside or outside, very impressing. Its roof was cottage-like with a trendy that had four slanting sides. It had a very spacious three dimensional-form. Its artwork was well arranged and appealing to look at. The bricks used were well decorated to give its walls an impressive look. The element of lining used made it obtain its outstanding shape. The lining made it obtain its shape and outlook. Its texture was somehow coarse-like, but very appealing proving that the building will stand tall for centuries to come. The color of the building was fine blended to give an eye-catching appearance. The value of the building could be rated extremely highly, since it proved that the one who put together the building was exceedingly skillful and devoted to the work. The style used to put up the building was traditional with some upgrading in it.
I learnt that the architecture utilized the elements of art well which made the building easy to fathom and describe to a third party. The architecture used the elements to communicate his thoughts; the building was a blend of both prehistoric and recent art making it immensely outstanding. The structure had dentils that decorated the building beautifully. It had columns that held the roof in place, and it had quoins that enabled the building to have excellent corners, very beautiful. The building was very attractive built in a business like structure to accommodate a number of offices and businesses. The architecture who put up the building was remarkably innovative and creative.
Part 2
Art explains feelings or emotions. The artist can put a visual image in actual form when drawn. A piece of art can be used as a comfort to someone who feels the same as the artist. For many years, art has maintained a culture, as the world advances by use of technology pieces of art made in the past still remain to show where we came from, thus maintaining culture for generations to come. Artists often describe their feelings through art. Recently I came across a sculpture made using modern technology but was very ancient like. The sculpture was impressively and artfully built. The sculpture was made from wood, and it was made recently. The work was representational meaning that its object manner and means were all incorporated to deliver the meaning of the sculpture. Its size was manageable and color appealing to the eye. The texture of the sculpture was very smooth proving that the artist did a good work with the object. The shape of the sculpture was skillful made to accommodate all the elements needed in molding an art drawing. One could not place its value since the work done was outstanding. The sculpture had a balance in its design (Warr & Elliot, 2010).
According to Steadman (2008) one purpose of art is the appearance of thoughts, not in a communicative way but by use of art. The artist can convey his thoughts through drawing. Art is also used for worldwide communication. The artist can come up with a model that is understandable to every person in the world. Art is used for culturalistic functions; thus, culture is maintained for many generations through art. It is also used in rituals, where art is used to decorate the dancers to decipher a certain meaning of the whole ritual process. Art is used in understanding of the strange world. The universe we live in is mysterious in a number of ways, and through art, the artists are able to express the mysteries, thus trying to help the rest of the universe to understand the world. Art also helps to give agreement and sense of balance among human beings. Therefore, art means imaginations beyond understanding where artist are able to express their feelings, emotions, thoughts and how they are able to maintain a culture for many generations. It connects mindful with our hidden thoughts. It allows us to discover spiritual self and seal that push for comprehending our increasingly changing world. Art inwardly exist in every human being even though not everybody is an artist. It is the mainly vital element of every human being.
