1. Comparing the two sculptures, a lot of similarities appear considering the aspects of classical art. Some of the similarities includes:
a. Both are in human form and are used to explain a certain aspect of classical art.
b. Both depict people who are believed to have had supernatural aspects and powers (bronze stature depicts a Greek god while the Laocoon depicts of a priest who attempted to destroy a holy sculpture and was subjected to torture by the gods).
c. Both communicate a lot about beauty of human body and do not attempt to hide any part of the human body.

d. Both have fine texture and clear curves depicting a fine touch (finish).
e. Both are done in 2-dimensional space.
In spite of the similarities, there are some differences. They include:
a. The bronze sculpture has taken human form but represents a god while the second sculpture represents only ordinary men.
b. In the first sculpture, the atmosphere appears appealing and orderly while the second depicts pain and agony.
2. Considering paintings in the two places, some similarities are evident. They include:
a. Both have clear aspects of realism and depict some emotions in both.
b. Illumination in both paintings is not well considered.
c. Worship or religious aspects are present in both forms of art.
d. Vanishing points are well defined.
Considering the differences,
a. Rozhen monastery paintings are done using fresco method while Madonna painting is done using oil painting methods.
b. Though illumination is not up to the standards, a lot of clarity is evident in Madonna painting than Rozhen paintings.
c. Realism is more pronounced in Madonna paintings than in Rozhen paintings.
d. A lot of emotional complexity is evident in Madonna painting compared to Rozhen painting.
3. In the realism era of painting, the artists made paintings from real life occurrences. Each painting in the era depicted complex emotions and fearful occurrences that often had taken place. Similarities in the given pieces of art includes:
a. In both paintings, an emotion of fear and terror are very heavy. Tension is also very high.
b. Backgrounds of both paintings depict fear and helplessness due to lack of anybody who can help.
c. In both paintings, realism is evident but describes different situations.
However, some differences are also evident.
a. Goya’s painting depicts horror and bloodshed in war while Rembrandt’s painting does not have tension to such levels.
b. Rembrandt’s painting is based on the bible (religion) while Goya’s painting is based on a real life situation which it is believed that he witnessed
c. Creativity and imagination are heavily employed in Rembrandt’s painting while observation is the main source of Goya’s painting.
