This video demonstrates skills drawn from various experiments conducted on clients with stress disorders. Psychotherapy involves a number of appointments licensed by a mental health professional. Psychotherapy’s main strength is it has minimal side effects, and it turns positively to patients that are unresponsive to any medication. Tim felt relieved when he poured out all he wanted to tell his dad if he was alive. Tim felt that his dad was a ‘jerk’ and was not worthy being trusted. Suzie also had a problem because she had been in many relationships, which did not last long. Psychotherapy assisted them to feel comfortable and move on. Through a number of experimental skills, they were relieved, and they viewed life differently. The major limitation is that it takes long, and one has to attend a number of therapies. In the case of Suzie and Tim, they go through a number of experiments for them to get better (Jeff & Jill, 2004)
Psychotherapy has led to the development of family systems therapy, which evolved through the last 100 years and therapists today creatively employ a number of perspectives on various families (Corey, 2013, p. 414). Various therapies were developed, which include Adlerian Family Therapy he noticed that children development in a family was greatly influenced by birth order. Multigenerational Family Therapy realized that the triangulation concept, he emphasized that triangulation could happen between therapist and family members (Trull, 2005). The human validation process model emphasizes on family connection and the importance of communication. Experimental Family Therapy seeks to unmask any pretense and create a new meaning as well as liberating the family members to being themselves. Structural-strategic Family Therapy, which has two main aims, which include reducing dysfunction symptoms and bringing in structural change by modifying family transactional rules.
