Iron Pour
This event was presented by Arts at GSU on 14th of December of the year 2013.The location of this event was GSU’Ss sculpture studio. The George state university prepared the event where the students and the community watched the sculpture as it is created. The artists demonstrated their skills and expertise in sculpture making. The members of the community were also present in the event demonstrating their sculptures. The scratch and moulds were available in the event for the students and members of the general public to buy.
The event also involving molting the iron as well as cooling them for making different sculptures. The studio consisted of many furnaces for molting iron as well as cooling it. The members of the public and students were allowed to engage in create scratch molds. The event was appealing since it also showed many aspects of both traditional and modern sculpture.
Jerry Pinkney: family program
The event itself concerns the children’s book illustrator and Caldecott who won a medal, he later returned to the museum of art on December 14.The event took place at High Museum of art. Individual should come and have their favorite Pinkney. The event will have the individual books signed at the venue upon arrival at the event. The events are a day event in which it concerns literary creativity in which various talents and skills shall be recognized and receive awards in different categories. The Pinkneys’ works are showed in the museum in form of exhibition in form of “witness: the art of jerry Pinkney”. The museum is of much importance and significant in the history of literature as it will encourage the individuals to be creative in writing literal books and stories.
