Amplifying a Safe and Sound Travel Venture
Aviation Security
Aviation security has been one of the main concerns by everyone who travels. It is a crucial measure for the aviation industry, touching on all parts of their service operations. The encounters and perils in the aviation industry with regards to flight and travel security are indeed on the rise nowadays. Aviation authorities, airline personnel, and its management should know how to bring about the prevention of risks and hazards that are involved in the airline set up and how to keep their customers’ patronage of their aviation or travel services. The security procedures and protocols must be planned by the management team and their employees in order to classify and avert impending security coercions that can affect the passengers and the airline as a whole. These can include the pilot’s errors, aircraft malfunction, airport incident reports, delayed flights, and terrorists’ outbreaks among others.
The safety and security of passengers are the most pertinent undertaking in all aviation establishments. The government of the United States, along with the Federal Aviation Agency or FAA, spreads out their intensive observation and monitoring of the aviation industry. Their obligation is to perceive if airlines are compliant and accountable with the policies and if the airlines’ management team is equipped and prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the aeronautic or aviation setting (Brown, n.d.). Since air travel is much riskier than the modes of transportation by land, airline companies must precisely dwell on ensuring the safety of their passengers. They should scrutinize every detail concerning the condition of airplanes, the pilot, the travel personnel, and all of the passengers who are present in each flight.
Moreover, the aviation industry has been threatened by terrorism and the presence of terror campaigns for a long span of time. This has remained constant until now in terms of bombing attacks and threats aside from other forms of violence (Stewart, 2010). Ferocious acts like these can be abolished if there are proper and suitable safety measures that are implemented and enforced by the airline administration. If there’s a strong and resilient management team who will keep an eye on the compliance of local and international laws and regulations on aviation security, then firms will continue safeguarding the people who in turn will keep on patronizing their facilities and services. This will enable the airline company to achieve their expansion goals. It will also lead to progress for the industry in terms of finance and amenities.
Issues regarding security breaches in airline organizations have turned out to be common in recent times, giving the airline management team the responsibility of protecting their professional image towards their customers and ensuring that proper security screenings or methods and proper baggage inspections are well imposed or carried out by every airport personnel in each day of their operations (McGee, 2012). The aviation administration must strategize in managing the airport security and the air traffic flow controls, as well as in maintaining the airline facilities and in inspecting the aircraft conditions.
An aviation manager is also the one who superintends the compliance or acquiescence of the airline company with regards to the local and international policies and the rules and regulations in the aviation industry. They should ensure that all the departments and the people behind each sector are working professionally and competently in their designated tasks and duties in accordance to the business’ guiding principles and standards.
Meanwhile, the task of a security manager in an aviation firm is very important in safekeeping and maintaining the airline premises, ensuring that they are secured from threats or danger. Also, with the help of hands-on security practices and approaches within the vicinity of the airport, the probable hazards may be eliminated. Thus, managerial skills are needed to able to intelligently impose strategic plans that will help upsurge the security and safety of every personnel and passenger or traveler against terrorist attacks, natural occurrences, and weather conditions, at the same time increasing business development in terms of aviation security.
Aside from mechanical failures and terrorist threats affecting the security in an airport, most accidents, as well as incidents that are unnecessary within the flight, are because of human errors. However, these can be minimized if the crew or maintenance resource management department will be proactive in inspecting the tools and machineries that will be used in order to secure a safe air travel. In addition, proper training and the ability to recognize and apply courses of action will ensure success in enhancing aviation security. At some point in time, aviation management will be expecting flight crews and personnel to play considerably bigger roles in maintaining the kind of security that people want to experience with an airline company. The management team will then be responsible for enrolling their people to different training programs that will help them achieve the professionalism and the skills needed in this kind of industry or expertise.
