The paper highlights the readiness of the organization in Providence of health care facilities to the citizens and also the policies implemented by Banner Healthcare to overcome the issues about the growth of the network, staffing of nurse, management of resources, and satisfaction of patients.
Banner Health is a nonprofit health care organization with the aim of providing the best health care around the different states of America. Banner Health Network (BHN) is an extensive care organization network that spans over the states such as Arizona, Phoenix, Alaska, Wyoming, and Nebraska. The system operates some hospitals, specialty physicians, and a wide staff of dedicated nurses. The founder and CEO of Banner Health Network are Peter S. Fine, who believed in delivering best services to the citizens in the time of much-needed health care.
Health care facilities are one of the basic commodities demanded by citizens, and it is upon the government to ensure the citizens for providing them with the best health care available. The vision and mission of BHN are to cater the health care needs of patients and ensures the availability of the best health available in the world to the patients. So far BHN has been working on to improve the quality of facilities, the professionalism of physicians, and dedication of the nursing staff.
Nurses play a pivotal role in satisfying the needs of patients. BHN focuses on hiring dedicated nurses and train them according to the needs demanded by the patients. Currently, Banner health network operates 23 hospitals and is considered to be the number one employer. It employs around 39000 in one state that is Arizona. The network is expanded to the seven States of America and is working on improving the health care facilities provided. It ensures professional physicians with maximum medical information to cater the health care needs at lower cost.
Banner Health Network accommodates the facilities such as emergency care, hospital care, rehab services, hospice, long-term home care, outpatient surgery centers, labs, and pharmacies. Recently Banner Health Network has started providing primary physician clinics such as Banner Arizona Medical Group and Banner Medical Group. The groups focus on providing specialized services and medical advice for patients suffering from serious diseases such as Alzheimer, pediatrics, and orthopedics. Banner health network collaborated with Aetna, which is another health care facility provider to make sure citizens get the professional physicians.
Banner Health Network deploys the advanced techniques to indulge the patient with the best health care available in the States. The management association of the network envisions to further improving the quality of health care facilities. The physicians at the network are destined and dedicated to providing the needed care goals by the patients. BHN ensures the patients across the different states that no other health care institute will be able to cater the needs of patients. The research and development department of the network is focusing on the innovative services to be part of the health care network.
Every organization needs a strategic plan to achieve their goals set by the organization. Correct and defined plans implemented by the organization make sure that organization is achieving the organizational goals. The policies implemented by BHN aim the best health provided by best staff available. The network accommodates the resources throughout the network to make sure that health care facilities are a top priority for all departments working under the organization. Quick health care services provided indicates the readiness of the organization to satisfy the needs of patients. However, every organization devises an imperative plan to maximize the productivity level of the organization. The strategic plan includes all the policies implemented by the system to eradicate the issues faced by different departments of health care network. Utilization of effective plans at a correct time ensures the success of an organization. Evaluation of workforce management is a procedure implemented by BHN to ensure differentiation in the competitive market of health care industry. Professional physicians and dedicated nurses are hired to look up the needs of patients 24 hours. Attending patients at a crucial time is part of the plan (Plunkett, 2008).
The careful selection of dedicated nursing staff and professional physicians, who are willing and capable of fulfilling the needs of patients, is included in the imperative plan. The performance of officials is scrutinized and evaluated to keep a rigorous check to make sure that resources are accommodated accurately. BHN selects nursing staff by willingness showed by applicants and provides training. The experienced staff is hired to meet the needs put forward by the organization. The objective of BHN is to provide individuals and families with the best health care facilities by making sure the resources such as money, employees, and raw materials are used efficiently. Effective and efficient management ensures maximum productivity with minimum usage of resources. Banner Health Care Network employs plans to maximize the productivity level of the organization. There is a need to devise an extensive strategic plan to make sure that BHN indulges in providing the best quality of service.
BHN ensures the selection of competent workforce to cater the needs of citizens. Such policy focuses on the recruitment and training of dedicated nursing staff (Kash, 2016). BHN provides the appropriate training and incentives for the nursing and physician staff to eradicate issues. BHN is working on programs to expand the network over the entire America. The growth of network is dependent on many factors such as proper advertising and quality of service. If BHN works on plans such as extensive advertisement campaigns and improvement of quality service, strategic goals can be acquired. The quality improvement initiatives are deployed by BHN to expand the growth of the network. A measure of quality service provided by health care centers is embedded in the framework of the system. Every month management of Banner Health works on care standards to improve the quality of care provided (Zweig, 2015). The management works on constant creation of care standards. The innovative care standards aim at satisfying the needs demanded by patients.
BHN devises the plan of taking their staff into confidence by making them accessible to required resources and training. Excellent patient care provided by the staff is a plan needed to achieve the desired goals. Such policies and continuous revision of plan pave the way for the success of the organization. Over the short span of time BHN has achieved success through careful planning and implementation of strategies.
It is concluded that if the proposed strategic plan includes approaches such as evaluation of workforce management, correct usage of resources, and effective deployment of advertisement campaigns, then the organizations can reduce the issues. Such procedures must be applied so that smooth flow of work can be achieved and resulting in monetary benefits.
