Living a Thoughtful Life: Barack Hussein Obama
There are many people living on earth today and those who passed on that could be considered ‘living a thoughtful life.’ My icon in this generation is a man by the name of Barrack Hussein Obama. His thoughtful living has phenomenally raised him to the position of being the first African- American to gain remarkable prominence in the American society.
He can be exemplified as living a thoughtful life by showing African- Americans that it is not impossible after endless years of imposed Jim Crow policies with actual apartheid in American for a person from this segregated group to gain the position of president of the United Sates of America.
It is extremely admirable that in living a thoughtful life he carried the mantra, ‘yes we can!” (“President Barack Obama,”). Importantly, he is telling everyone looking at his achievements that in ‘living a thoughtful life’ it is vital to carry a word of hope within the subconscious mind for focused action. Actually, this is representative of living a thoughtful life. There is a thought behind every word and activity.
This personality is considered a true African -American being born of a Caucasian American mother and a black African father. The uniqueness of his personality is that he could not talk race as an African- American neither Caucasian because he was both. A house divided against itself cannot stand. (Holy Bible, 1995). So he took a stand for all Americans. This is truly living a thoughtful life.
