Throughout my life, I have come across different scenarios that require critical thinking and coming up with conclusive and sustainable solutions. Amongst these decisions that I had to make is one that holds my entire future. I have always believed that life involves a variety of choices and a well chosen choice indicates who I stand for, where I want to be and why and how I want to get there. It is the capability to make the right decisions that decide my future in academics and professionalism.
Despite the wide variety of selection of universities, AUC is my preferred choice. This decision is based out of educational quality, location, its diversity, and student life in the university. What makes AUC outstanding as compared to other universities is its quality and excellence in education. The university has qualified faculties who offer what is currently needed in the job market, and offers practical knowledge, which assists students to put what they learn into practice.
I will be graduating this year from the American International School in Cairo, one of the top rated schools in Cairo. I consider my stay in the school as a tool that has shaped my future in matters of what I want to achieve. The school has offered me the basic initials that I need to compose together in order to mould and become successful in the future. The school has introduced me to business concepts, which I need to work on in order to achieve my dream of becoming a successful business man.
My zeal in business developed from a family perspective; my father owns a business, and it is from this background that my passion towards the discipline generated. However, the skills that I have gained from the business and in my educational background are not sufficient for me to become successful. I still need to further my knowledge to the extent of making critical entrepreneurial decisions, which would impact business at a personal and economy’s level.
The American University in Cairo is the perfect institution to suit my ambitions. It provides high education, offers valid certificates, and is known worldwide. From this university, I intend not only to be taught but also to learn to live, make choices, and specialize in my field of interest. The cultural diversity of the institutions also adds to my choice.
Various nationalities with different backgrounds in the school will offer the best environment to interact, integrate, and learn to respect other people’s decision. The business environment involves a mix of strategies, ideas, and cultures of consumption. Integrating with different cultures in the school will boost my ability in making crucial decisions on consumer’s behavior, trends, and mixes, which are critical elements of success in business.
Entrepreneurship is gaining enormous apprehension in the business community, and public sector. Many governments have pushed for promotion of business management styles, which attribute to business success. However, lack of expertise in the field has always lagged the growth of the sector. Undertaking this course, in this institution, will be an honor to this demand. It will act as a personal growth strategy as well as a development in the national economy. With the theoretical knowledge and practical skills that I will gain in the university, I will contribute to the growth of business in this country, and boost its economic status.
