I think that the interactions between Cellini and his patrons are based on his skills where his competitive skill to support the works presented by the patrons has attained credible support among the people. However, the patrons found it tough to pull through with him in respect to his relationships with other people. There were various disputes that he had with the patrons included the immoralities and murder among fellow people (Cellini et al. 26). However, the patrons eventually sought his services as the new succeeding patrons arose. In the case where Cellini thought that he has been chosen by the Holy Trinity not to conduct anything beyond the will of God, I perceived that he was being assisted by the patrons. It may be due to this incident that he informs that he is a holy man who works only within the limits of God’s will.
For those instances that things were going well for Cellini, I perceived that he was being called back by, the patrons who pardoned him despite his ill actions as they needed his expertise in fine arts. When Cellini committed a felony, he disagreed with his patron and fled to other places until he got a chance to recover from the presumed felony. He claims to have committed over 50 murders where 30 were through a blast in the Sack of Rome (Cellini 45). In my perspective, Cellini is in disagreement with the patrons who question his behaviors as God’s servant when things fall apart. This happens when he is jailed and found with the death claims directed to him. At times, he is pardoned like in the case where the pope pardons him after killing the 50 people before he returns within the holy circle. In an ideal situation, I would think that patrons could not supply the things that Cellini wanted since they were against the cultural norms and religious wishes. The things that the patrons stood for were not availed by Cellini as one of their models.
I think that the demands of Cellini to the patrons are not elaborate. In most cases, the patrons need to get services that Cellini offers in an exceptional manner. However, they are not pleased by the behaviors and practices that he follows. In this respect, I would say that Cellini had no specific demands over the patrons and therefore paid no attention to meet the patron’s requirement in living within the aspects accepted by the society. However, the patron may have been influenced by Cellini to accept the suggestions of relieving him charges in order to meet their demands. It was apparent that some of the fine arts requested, by other patrons had been laying incomplete (Cellini et al. 26). In this respect, I would argue that they needed Cellini to complete the work he had started in order to issues gifts. Most cardinals are playing behind the cases where after nullifying the charges in order to get the required products. I can, therefore, argue that Cellini used his experiences and expertise to influence the decisions of the patrons where he was accepted to be part of the community developing the work of God. However, the pardon did not proceed for long before he could kill more people and escape into hiding again leaving some of the requested work incomplete. In my perspective, the target requirements of Cellini do not align with his emotions and reactions to various issues happening during this period. For instance, I wonder why Cellini seems determined to get his position back and swears to offer reliable services and avoid murder in the future. I could not explain this aspect since promise did not prove solid when his brother is killed while a person was defending himself as he kills the killer.
