The man is a creation in the image of God according to Genesis 1 verse 26-27 including several other instances in the Bible where Man and image of God are in mention. The verse is a big basis for the Christian faith, a sense of pride and more belief in this religion; having a likeness of a supreme God, the creator (Giordan, 2011). The statement that is a direct quotation from the Bible, followers of Jesus and his message are therefore Christ-like considering the exact meaning of the word Christian. There are some people who criticize the issue quoting the fact that no one has seen or heard the face of Christ, there is no likeness in appearance. Nevertheless, this belief has a lot of influence on my vocation particularly my relationship with the general social groups, how we interact.
Every human being that I come across represents a part of the larger group of Christians that all see themselves be in the image of God. In my vocation, I am not in a position to make a formal judgment on a person no matter what criminal activities they go to trial for the same thing. Creation of man in the image and likeness of man does not mean facial appearance only but also character and the healthy relationship just the same way Jesus was while on Earth. Although an issue of Christian defectors from the faith cannot an undermine, works of faith and actions in this field represent a kind of supreme being (Guthrine, 2013). The Christian religion which is the most in practice today in the United States of America depicts of the importance of adhering to the customs and rules of worship. In my line of work, the belief of human beings are in the image of God calls for the constant benefit of the doubt to individuals when they wrong.
The second example as per my vocational writing is the art of honesty and sincerity in the Christian faith. Individuals in the claim of the Christian title have no option but to read about the good news and testimonies about Grace and Mercy of God through working with his people. Christianity demands actions that are in measure to the Bible stories when Jesus, son of God was in the earth; according to professionals in theology field; His coming to the land was to have the real experience of the life of how the religion expects them as young people in the society today. There is a tendency to judge fellow Christians on the basis of their actions which at times raises concern on whether it is a justifiable cause or not and to rely fully on a person's measures to determine the seriousness of religion in the world today.
In my vocation training in the job market, I have to evaluate neighbors and all the surrounding basing on strong beliefs and actions in the religion. Business malpractices, for instance, a Christian working as an accountant and therefore need to live in integrity that determines the actions of an individual that can be evaluated condemning misconduct and other vices not relating to Christ.
Beliefs in a way always find it strongly to influence individual actions and other major activities. The few times of moving geographical areas that I carry my school days to grow and can go far with discouraging boys playing with girls and girls with boys. In as much as there exists some rules and expectations away from the norm of Christianity; the image of God is not only about physical likeness but also emotional and social backgrounds (Schuurman, 2014). Living and believing in the supreme natural being- God is a great move towards fulfilling Christianity.
