In a country like Indonesia, burger patties from McDonalds should be exported in order to make a Big Mac sandwich. The religion in Indonesia is Islam. The beef patties that are being exported in this country must be made of “halal” beef.
The Big Mac which is being served in the McDonalds stores in Indonesia should be made of “halal” beef. It is important that McDonalds stores in this country to assure the consumers that the burger patties are certified “halal”. Islams are bound by their religion and they are very strict with what they eat. “Halal” in Arabic word refers to “permissible.” The food which is permitted according to Islamic law should only serve meat that bears “halal” certification. Halal observes a method in slaughtering the animal by slitting the throat. The animal should be conscious and hung upside down so that the blood will be drained and dried. It is important that McDonalds will only get meat suppliers that provide certified “halal” so that the Muslim customers are assured that they do not violate their religion. At the same time, the burger patties of McDonalds should be exported to Indonesia since the burger parties are made of “halal” meat wherein the animal is fed only with natural diet and does not contain components of animal by-products.
I agree with the post of my classmate that McDonalds burger patties should be exported since the taste of the meat that is being served in the U.S. should have the same taste to be served in other countries. The customers should be allowed to enjoy the same taste as the original thing. Hence, exporting the McDonald’s burger patties to other countries will mean that McDonalds will serve the same quality of Big Mac in every McDonalds store around the world. Uniformity is important in order to standardize the taste of the products of a well-known food chain store such as McDonalds. Thus, it is important that the meat should be exported in order to ensure that the consumers only get the best products from the same store.
I also agree with my classmate’s post that other countries in Asia should import burger patties from the McDonalds commissary in the U.S. in order to have a standard taste of Big Mac in all stores around the world. In the case of McDonalds U.S. stores, they should export burger patties in all stores all over the world as long as no religion is violated. In case of India where meat is not allowed, chicken patties should be exported to replace beef patties. In Israel, the consumers only eat burger patties that are made of “kosher” meat. In Islamic countries like Indonesia, Pakistan, or Bangladesh, the burger patties should be made only on certified “halal” meat. Therefore, it is important that McDonalds will only get suppliers that provide these specified meat requirements in order to comply with the religious beliefs of the consumers. McDonalds should observe diversity and multiplicity of religions across the several countries around the globe.
