Biometric Class Attendance System Essay Examples

This is a system that is going to improve the attendance of classes by the students in the school. The system registers the time stamp of when a student enters the class by the use of the student’s finger print. This system signs the student as present for a lecture and reduces the work load of the lecture trying to conduct the class attendance list by automating the whole process. Also this reduces the dishonesty levels of the students where they cover for their colleagues in classes by ticking them as present while they are not. I am a potential contractor in an IT firm that deals with biometric systems, in a position to deliver the system to the school and implement it.
This system broadly benefits the administration by enabling them keep track of classes attendance by the students hence enabling them be more accountable for these students. It also involves the students who are physically interacting with the system. The student verifies their class attendance report by signing in for the classes they attend via the system. The main importance of this report is to show the importance of the proposed system and to try to convince on the importance of such a system in a school setup. These devices could be mounted next to the door inside the lecture halls and configured to the main system on the administration end where they relay the information of the students pertaining attendance of the classes which is the main goal.
