Book Of Romans Biography Example

The Book of Romans is a letter written by Paul in 57-58 A.D. addressed to the people of Rome who believed Jesus Christ. It is in this Book where Paul explains God’s plan of salvation for men. What struck me the most in the Book of Romans is the importance placed on our faith on Jesus Christ. The Book emphasized that we must make Jesus Christ as the Master of our lives. Paul says that we can only be saved by our faith in Christ. I realized that because of the death of Jesus Christ, we were able to gain the free gift of salvation. Previously, I thought that good deeds alone can give us eternal life; however, through the Book of Romans, I learned that what is necessary is faith in Jesus.
If the Book of Romans is compared with the other books of the bible, particularly in the Old Testament, it can be said that whereas the Old Testament promises salvation by following the Jewish Law or the Mosaic Law, the Book of Romans states that salvation can only come through faith in Christ, which will result in eternal life. In the Old Testament, we always see God’s people offering animals as sacrifice. In the Book of Romans, we learn that we no longer have to offer animal sacrifices because Jesus Himself sacrificed His own life for our salvation. The righteousness that was required by the Jewish Law in the Old Testament has been fulfilled through Christ’s sacrifice, which was described in the Book of Romans. The Mosaic Covenant present in the Old Testament gave way to the new covenant in Jesus Christ. In the Old Testament, a mere observance of the law assured one of salvation but in the New Testament, as mentioned by Paul in the Book of Romans, faith in Christ is what is essential.
