I believe this book helped me in multiple aspects which pushed me to succeed. It plays a positive role on my thought and enhanced my experiences and assisted me to discover my skills and develop them well through certain strategies. In deed, this book helped me to know a lot of things to do in order to be a good and successful student.
Besides, I also learnt how to write great papers. Freeman gave me a lot of tips on how to write quality and appealing term papers. These can be used both for academic and non academic purposes. If I follow all the guidelines found in this text, it will be possible for me to present the best assignments and final examinations to my tutors. For instance, when writing a paper, I learnt that I should begin by planning, making a draft then starting writing my main copy. When doing this, I should write a short clear and precise introduction before proceeding to the main body and finally making a conclusion. Each paragraph should contain a point which is well stated and illustrated with relevant examples. Moreover, each of these paragraphs should be well connected to the other in order to create a flowing paper which is not shuttered a part.
Lastly, I also learnt about how to find the best teachers. As already highlighted, a teacher is makes an imminent contribution in the life of a student. As the sole custodian of knowledge, they help in guiding the learning process and appropriately imparting knowledge to them. However, not all teachers are worth because of the varying qualities and commitments shown in their work. In deed, Lecture Notes has invaluably helped me to know that a good teacher has excellent communication skills and is brilliant, committed, patient competent and authoritative. As Freeman puts it, the most important role of a teacher is communication. Hence, identifying a good one means emphasizing on this quality. Being a critical listener will enable him to listen to the learners and respect their opinions. In this regard, it will be possible for him to organize for group discussion sessions and employ various strategies appropriate to the type of learners being taught (Patrick, B.C. et al., 2000).
In conclusion, I would like to say that all these three points aim to get improved and be an organized student. For this reason, I decided to exploit every opportunity to make important decision at college and act responsibly without facing troubles. This made me like this book use it a lot and recommend to all my friends. Surely, Lecture Notes is an invaluably must read text.
