My place is Bothell city in the western United States of America. Bothell is located in Snohomish and King Counties, Washington State. Being an integral part of Seattle metropolitan area, the city has a population of about 33, 505 people. Bothell city is a popular city in West America (White, 2007). Geographically, the city is the home of the largest river in West America that connects Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish. The Bothell odd city location that is characterised by being a city in two main Washington state counties (Snohomish and king county), has attractive huge number of immigrants from various global states.
Contrary to other American cities with defined streets names, the Bothell have street numbers that change with time. The changes in street numbers therefore force residents of the city to remain updated on the city streets to avoid unnecessary confusion. Some of the commonly known neighbours of the renowned Bothell city include the Canyon Creek, Canyon Park, Downtown Bothell, lake pleasant, Maywood, North Creek, Mays Pond, and Waynita. Bothell city is the home of various colleges including the University of Washington and the Cascadia community college. These two colleges have been vital in increasing the number of immigrants in the city and in advancing the city economic growth. Various investors including both local and global have invested highly in constructing students’ residential halls in the areas. Businesspersons have also taken the advantages of an increased number of students in the area by starting entrepreneurship. The two colleges that are the pillars of education are Bothell city also shares similar campuses that were opened in the year 2000.
My college, the Cascadia Community College was opened in 2006 as a small community higher learning institution. However, since the commencement of its activities in 2006, the college has made radical transformation and developments in its learning program. The college has been named the second most effective community college in United States of America trailing after Atlanta Technical College. Bothell city is also home for other prominent schools both at high school and kindergarten levels. The successful performance of most of the school in the city is attributable to the flock of students in the city. This has advanced the popularity and reputation of Bothell city. The Cascadia Community College admits individuals from various part of the world.
The city political leaders and government agencies have also been of significant value in the city development and reputations. A part from some exceptional cases, the city security is effective with a high number of security personnel in the city. The council that comprise of seven council members administers the Bothell city. Each member of the council is elected to a four years term. Council elections take place after every two years. Although there are always stiff competitions for the county’s elective position, the city political differences do not affect the city economic development.
It is apparent that besides some of the challenges, Bothell city is one of the most comfortable cities to reside in America. The encouraging security status, high standard learning institutions, attractive infrastructures, good governance, and peaceful interaction of people from all cultural and racial background are some of the main factors that define the good living environment at Bothell city. This provides a good environment for learning, which explains the increased number of learning institutions in the city.
