As many of you may have noticed, after our successful resistance against Mr. Frederick and his band of hooligans, Boxer, our most dedicated, faithful and hard-working colleague and community presence has been absent from the farm. The reasons for his absence are a direct result of his heroic but unsuccessful efforts to save the windmill. Indeed, during the battle, Boxer was injured. While we were able to heal most of injuries, there were some that we were not able to get supplies for. As a result, he was never able to return to his previous form. Several days earlier, while working on the new windmill, Boxer became ill. We immediately took him to the hospital were ne received the best of care from the best doctors. Unfortunately, the treatments were too late. It was now with the saddest of hearts that I inform you that Boxer peacefully passed away last night surrounded by his family and loved one. As is true of the hero that he has always been, to his very last breath, he offered his deepest praise and respect for our animal revolution and the leadership of Napoleon. Let’s honor his spirit by staying faithful to his maxim, “I will work harder”
Stay Observant
It has come to our attention, that the terrorist leader Snowball has been sighted on several occasions around the perimeter of the farm trying to gain access either in disguise or with the help of those that have fallen under his spell. Be warned, outside of humans, Snowball and his terrorist group pose a threat to our community and way of life. Indeed, the only reason for him to want to return is that he is either plotting to overthrow Napoleon, or otherwise perpetrate a terrorist act against innocent farm residents. To be sure, we understand that several younger animals have been attracted to leave the farm and join his group. We have been working tireless to stop these misguided youths from leaving the farm, and we have even been able to catch several outside of the farm but before they could make it to Snowball’s basecamp. Nevertheless, we ask that all farm residents stay observant and report any Snowball sighting or otherwise questionable behavior immediately to the proper authorities. On in this way can we ensure the safety of the community.
All Animals Are Equal but
After looking into some confusion on the part of several members of our community of the fundamental principles of Animalism, the central philosophy passed down from Old Major which underpins our society. The confusion is focused on the belief by some that one of Animalism seven tenets are that “all animals are created equal”. While those that hold that belief are not totally incorrect, their understanding is nevertheless incomplete. Accordingly, once and for all we would like to set the record straight. The full statement of the principle, the one that we will from now on be expecting everyone to know and commit to memory is “all animals are created equal, but some animals are more equal than others.” Again, this has always been how the statement was stated and it will forever be as the statement is understood.
